Nice quiet village with lovely sheltered beach. Beach itself is very stoney but if you go to the beach toward the north side the stones are much smaller. Underwater is excellent for snorkelling at its clear with plenty to see. Only a few places to eat and shop so don’t expect big supermarkets. The roads in and out are also what id call interesting. Id go again but my kids (19-23)did get a little bored!!! Lovely place.

Cute beach in Portbou. This first town beach of Spain after crossing the border with France serves as a prelude of the typical shapes of Alt Emporda with its grayish sand, sharp cliffs and mysterious fog. Nevertheless such a shapes will reach more expressive and melancholic atmosphere some kilometers more to the South.

Beautiful, peaceful beach with crystal clear water. Platja de Portbou feels authentic and not overcrowded, even in the summer. The rocky shoreline gives it a unique charm and makes it great for snorkeling, though I recommend bringing water shoes or a mat since it’s mostly pebbles, not sand. There aren’t many facilities right on the beach, but that’s part of its natural and quiet appeal. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery if you’re looking for something off the...

Nice and quiet beach, amazing views. The beach is rocky, so better wear special shoes. At the break of june/july in the afternoon there was like 20 people, so if you hate crowds it's perfect. The only thing that bothered me was cigarette butts - dears, if you smoke, please take your trash with you, it doesn't dissapear magically - and I say it as a...
