Playa de Portbou — Attraction in Portbou

Beautiful, peaceful beach with crystal clear water. Platja de Portbou feels authentic and not overcrowded, even in the summer. The rocky shoreline gives it a unique charm and makes it great for snorkeling, though I recommend bringing water shoes or a mat since it’s mostly pebbles, not sand. Nice quiet village with lovely sheltered beach. Beach itself is very stoney but if you go to the beach toward the north side the stones are much smaller. Underwater is excellent for snorkelling at its clear with plenty to see. Only a few places to eat and shop so don’t expect big supermarkets. The roads in and out are also what id call interesting. Id go again but my kids (19-23)did get a little bored!!!...
