Platja de Sa Galera — Attraction in Sant Antoni de Portmany

A very calm and beautiful beach! The access is a bit tricky—there is a tiny car park on top of the cliff for maybe up to 5 cars, with access to the beach from the cliff side through the rocks. This isn’t a sandy beach—both the shore and the water are rocky, with some slippery rocks in the sea, so it’s not the place for golden sand, a café, or big parking. That said, the rocky beach has some larger, flatter rocks where you can lie down and relax while enjoying the cove views. Snorkeling is excellent here—the water is crystal clear and full of marine life. On the other side of the cliff, there appears to be a nudist area with calm and peaceful rocky access to the water. Very nice beach, always really quiet because not easy to reach. You can get there from the right side, where the road is not as bad. There you will find a small parking space and then you need to walk down passing next to a house. Follow the little path hidden by the trees on the left and you will reach the beach from behind the abandoned house. La Platja de Sa Galera no es una playa cualquiera, es un pedazo de roca alargada que se adentra en el mar como si fuera un barco varado frente a la costa de Sant Antoni. No hay arena fina ni tumbonas, aquí vienes a sentir la Ibiza más ruda y auténtica.

El paisaje es de película: aguas cristalinas a ambos lados, fondos rocosos ideales para hacer snorkel y unas puestas de sol que dejan a cualquiera en silencio. Es también un lugar con historia: antiguamente se usaba como embarcadero natural y todavía conserva ese aire de punto secreto de pescadores.

La anécdota típica: siempre hay alguien que llega esperando una “playa normal” y al principio se queda con cara rara… hasta que se tumba sobre la roca, se da un chapuzón y entiende por qué este sitio tiene tanta magia.
