Cala d'Hort Beach in Ibiza is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility. This stunning beach offers a breathtaking view of the mystical Es Vedrà island, which adds an enchanting touch to the already picturesque scenery. The beach itself is a mix of soft sand and pebbles, providing a comfortable spot to relax and soak up the sun. The clear, turquoise waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling, offering a glimpse of the vibrant marine life. One of the best features of Cala d'Hort is its relatively peaceful atmosphere, especially compared to some of the busier beaches on the island. There are a few charming restaurants nearby that serve delicious local cuisine, making it easy to spend the whole day here without needing to leave. The sunsets at Cala d'Hort are simply unforgettable, casting a golden glow over the water and creating a magical, serene ambiance. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, Cala d'Hort offers a fantastic beach experience that captures the essence of Ibiza's natural charm. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the true beauty of...

Cala d'Hort is a small and charming beach, from which you can enjoy views over the mysterious islet of Es Vedrà, which rises only a few hundred meters from the shore. The beach has fine sand at one end and is rockier at the other, and is very popular in summer. Many people come to this absolutely paradisiacal natural environment: young and old residents, families and tourist couples, everyone is seen in Cala d'Hort.

Protected by a cliff, it is located at the end of a steep slope where the main access road ends. In the busier months the road becomes a one-lane road due to cars parked on the hard shoulder, so get up early to avoid walking uphill to get back to your car after a hard day drinking! Sun!

It is a very nice beach to surf on windy days, since the wildest waves hit the shore with force. There is also a small boutique that is open during high season and sells designer beachwear. Cala d'Hort beach is completely smoke-free, in an attempt to keep the sand pristine for all who visit.

Spotlight Tip: Visit the beach in the summer so you can...

The view from this beach is fantastic and the food at the nearby restaurant is excellent. They were very nice and helpful there.

As for the beach itself, its the worst beach I have ever been by far. A large section of the beach is actually just a slab of conrete with a very this layer of sand on top. I was absolutely shocked by this. The waters edge is covered with small sharp rocks throughout its entirety. Once beyond your ankles, the small rocks turn into large, bowling size rocks covering the entire ocean floor making touching the ground near impossible. Lastly, the water is filled with jellyfish. We saw about 30 stings in 2 hours having sat near the lifeguard station.

If you are a looking for sand, look elsewhere because this beach doesnt have...

Cala d’Hort is one of the most magical beaches in Ibiza. Tucked away on the island’s southwest coast, it offers stunning views of the mystical Es Vedrà rock rising out of the sea — absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. The beach itself is charming and peaceful, with a mix of soft sand and pebbles, clear turquoise waters, and a relaxed, authentic vibe. It’s perfect for swimming, lounging, or just taking in the incredible natural beauty. There are also a few great restaurants nearby where you can enjoy fresh seafood with a view. If you’re looking for a quieter, more scenic spot with a touch of Ibiza magic, Cala d’Hort is a must.

Before you get to the beach I suggest you spend some time on the paths above that lead along the cliffs overlooking Es Vedra, the beach area and the whole bay. Wonderful colours, birdsong all around and the sound of waves below. And when we finally reached the beach after a few hours, the weather did not indicate a memorable sunset, and after all, that's what you come here for. This is one of the most interesting places to say goodbye to the day, so we waited and waited and that last hour was worth everything. You simply have to be here and see it. Fantastic atmosphere!
