We bought our tickets one Saturday via their website 30min before opening (10am). We arrived 10:18am. At that time, plenty of parking space and no queue. Many deckchairs were already "reserved" but it was not difficult to find one free. The queues for going down the waterslides started to appear at 11am. We had a good time. Now the bad side: the place looks like it needs more maintenance. The large slides have big water leaks. There's a lot of metalic oxide below and in the structure that holds it. I noticed the painted metal surfaces we're fill with bumps. It looks like the painter did it's job without removing the oxide first. We read online that the floor has made of very rugged cement. We bring water shoes to protect our feet. That was a good decision because, as you can see in the pictures, the surface was worse than we expected. It's true that the slides need more people to manage them. I saw one person monitoring 3 slides, a second another 3 and the last one on the ground monitoring all 6 slide ends. I saw a couple of times the monitor gave green light to someone without knowing another person has just launch themselves without approval. It's not diricult to me to believe that accidents happen constantly here. There's a single sweet water shower at open air in the park, and it works partially. There are more showers in the entrance as well. So you can remove the salty water...
Read moreAdvertises that only those taller than 1.2m can go on the adult slides, which is fair enough, but that there are plenty of other smaller slides and items for those under 1.2m to use. What it fails to tell you is that those smaller slides etc need you to be at least 1.1m tall to use. We paid for 2 adults and 1 child and then upon entering the park discovered that she couldn't go on anything as there is this other 1.1m stipulation. The sign at the entrance mentions only the 1.2m adult ride restriction.
It also seems slightly unfair to charge entrance based on age but then dictate use of equipment based on height. If they just said entrance was free for all those under the 1.1m requirement, this would be a more logical way of doing it. Would also make sense to have an option for an adult entry as a spectator only so that those who are simply just bringing their kids for a day out but not partaking themselves, don't get charged the full price.
We ended up getting a refund and leaving as there wasn't any point in staying if the kids couldn't...
Read moreThis is the best waterpark on menorca. That's not to say it's a fantastic waterpark! Menorca is NOT famous for it's waterparks. If you compare it with something in the states, or even in mainland spain, you will feel a little disappointed. But in terms of the other offerings in menorca, this is the biggest, and best on the island. We've visited them all. The place is very clean, and salt water means no nasties in the water, so less ear infections etc. There is a snack bar onsite, selling the usual hot dogs, fries, beer etc, but it is pricey, and is not great food. We always take our own lunch (although I'm not 100% sure this is permitted!!) We would recommend booking online in peak seasons as it can get very busy. Particularly in british holiday periods due to the hotel directly opposite being full at these times. But if visiting a water park is on the agenda whilst over in menorca, i would recommend you choose this one. It is...
