I came here today with a guide and a group of just over a dozen people. The owners took us around and she did a good job of explaining just how traditional the vineyard is, with no watering of the vines and no fertilisers. The red wine produced is unfiltered and tastes different from most mass produced wines. Production is on a tiny scale from a small plot of land high up on Gran Canaria.

The old buildings are pretty and delightful. There is , in effect, a small museum on the site as well as an enchanting collection of fowl and farm animals.

We sampled two wines, a red and a white. Both were excellent and the red was unusual to the English palate. Wine, cheese and hand creams, all produced in the vineyard are on sale to those at the completion of this...

La Bodega San Juan in Santa Brígida is impressive. Once you enter, you notice how big it is. You can come by car and leave it in the parking inside or by bus with the 311 bus. The carobs trees welcome you and from here it starts the guided visit. The winepress (lagar) is unique. I was listening with attention how the wine was made through generations. There are a lot of photos inside to give you an idea of how was the production in the past. Also I learnt that Juan Rogríguez Quegles was the founder. I was lucky because I came when the harvest took place few days ago. The vineyards are huge and the wine tasting was the perfect to finish the experience. I will recommend the visit for sure to my local and foreign...

The place is super beautiful. I got all information about the traditional practices of making wine. The collections are so intersting. Even the animals are so welcome, They are happy seeing guests.

The lady who did the explanation, she is friendly , professional and internalize everything that is happening there.

Lastly , I tested the red wine, cheese, olive , plus the white wine - they are super delicious . The test is super - no word to explain. I recommend to anyone, it is an excellent place to visit with friends, and families.

People I met there from England , German, Ukraine. and the staff of the wine museum, wish you the best upcoming New year !!! Love and Peace...

We were two people joining this experience, and it was without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide, Maria, was absolutely amazing – she explained the history in such an engaging and thoughtful way, making the experience both educational and memorable. The wine tasting was incredible, and we ended up buying a bottle made from grapes grown right there on the vineyard. We honestly regret not buying more! At the end of the visit, we asked if she could help us book a taxi, and she kindly offered to drive us back to Canteras herself, since it was on her way home – such a generous and unexpected gesture. We highly recommend this to anyone visiting Gran Canaria!

It was such a great morning with the very friendly & knowledgeable Maria, who guided us around the winery and vineyard. Such a tranquil setting with lots of animals and all varieties of plants and trees. Maria explained the family & vineyard history all topped off with a tasting of wine & local cheese. We purchased both the wines and a hand cream. Would highly recommend you visit. Thank you so much, Gary & Angela
