Many years ago there was a shipbuilding yard, many ships where built there. But unfortunately during the crisis in shipping industry in 1970 it was closed. Of course there was no money to dismantle the building crane and it’s staying as a reminder about the shipping industry in Sweeten. Later on instead of the yard there were built a lot of living houses.

I walked to this place all the way from Brunnsparken and I found it so amazing and soothing that I kept on coming here every other weekend just to walk and enjoy the fresh air. I recommend this place to the people who want to spend some time with themselves after a hectic week at work just to meditate.

Nice place to walk, take a coffee and enjoy the view. It's nothing special but an decommissioned crane that belong to dry docks located in the area, yet it's fascinating from a engineer point of view.

Det är imponerande att stå under kranen och tänka på alla båtar som byggts där.Området är väldigt trevligt att promenera I,det finns gott om sittplatser ute och en hel del caféer och restauranger att besöka om man vill.Vi promenerade bort till Färjenäs som ligger där Älvsborgsbron slutar på Hisingssidan.Det var det gamla färjeläget där varvsarbetarna från Masthugget,Majorna åkte över älven.Där finns två caféer och ett fint grönområde att promenera I.Bra att det inte är backigt om man har barnvagn,rollator eller svårt att gå.
