Werdinsel — Attraction in Zurich

A nice place to sit and relax in the middle of zurich, during summer the limmat canal is swimmable and you can take a swim recently temperature of the canal where about 21 c, so very doable, the current is quite strong but is really fun also for kids and adults alike to be pushed by the river current to the following entry point. Keine Dusche, kein Bademeister, keine Treppe in den Kanal. Man muss schon etwas Mut haben und vor allem ein guter Schwimmer sein, um hier in den Kanal zu steigen. Aber man wird belohnt und das nicht zu knapp: Die Strecke ist etwa vier mal so lang wie im offiziellen Bad oberhalb des Kraftwerks. Das bei wesentlich weniger Frequenz (und etwas mehr Gequieke und Geschrei) und im Schatten des grossen Baumbestandes, dessen Äste teils weit ins Wasser reicht. Abends ist se besonders magisch, wenn die Mücken über das Wasser tanzen und die Sonne vor einem im Fluss unterzugehen scheint.

Aber das Aussteigen am Ende der Insel nicht verpassen. Sonst wird es halt Aargau. Und wer Mühe mit nackter Haut hat - meistens wie Gott sie erschuf oder ähnlich - der sollte einfach die Schilder beachten und sich anderswo erfrischen. Die Werdinsel versucht Toleranz zu leben. Park...
