Great put together museum, if a little small. Lots of interactive stuff, good for kids. There's an amazing brio bahn and old photos of Zürich, a model tramway and a full size kids tram. Lots of old trams you can go inside and recently a kids treasure hunt with a prize. Nice shop, coffee making facilities. Only negative thing is the large number of toddlers and young kids running around and mistreating the equipment every time we go. You can open and close the tram doors if you raise the footplate, please don't let your kids do this, especially when there are people inside. This is not a cut price trampolino but a museum. Kids need to be supervised and parents shouldn't look the other way when their kids are terrorising the other visitors. We have this problem every time we go but it's worth coming back as it's a good little museum. The people work work here must be...
Read moreNice museum with a decent variety of displays and an upstairs section with some miniatures and dioramas. Some placards and descriptions are in English which is good for tourists. The museum is a nice, inexpensive and fascinating visit for anyone interested in trams and railway tech. You can walk through some of the trams, and ring the bells on them which is quite cool. There's some play areas and a small interactive tram for kids. At the time we were there, very few of the upstairs displays were interactive and there were not a lot of placards offering information. It's not a terribly diverse or large museum so it may not be the best stop for tourists only visiting for a day or two, unless you're really interested in Trams specifically. Staff are super nice and seem to be passionate...
Read moreI liked exploring the museum and looking in and outside of the trams they had in display of the history of the city of Zürich trams through different years and moments of its time and present throughout the city.
However parts of the experience were ruined during some parts of the visit, as there were some children who were just out of control screaming at the top of their lungs and the parents / carer did nothing about it, and they were running, jumping and fighting around the entire place and making so much sound and screaming you can hear them on the other side of the museum, even though they had left later on I was still really annoyed at the parents / carers for not doing anything in putting their children in place instead of them being a nuisance too everyone there...
