During my visit to Yangmingshan National Park, I stumbled upon the Flower Clock, a captivating spot that seamlessly merges the beauty of nature with functional timekeeping. The clock's large circular face, decorated with a vibrant array of flowers, immediately caught my attention. I could tell that a lot of thought and effort went into arranging the colorful blooms into a pattern that not only told time but also added to the park's aesthetic.
Surrounded by well-kept gardens and plenty of seating areas, the Flower Clock was a great place to pause and take in the scenery. I found myself admiring the intricate design and noticing how the clock's hands and numbers were also adorned with flowers. The attention to detail was remarkable.
This spot turned out to be an excellent location for photos, and I noticed many other visitors taking advantage of the backdrop for their snapshots. The lush surroundings, coupled with the sight of the Flower Clock, created a sense of tranquility that was a welcome escape from the bustling city. The clear views of the surrounding mountains were an added bonus.
The Flower Clock seemed to be a focal point for visitors, especially during flower festivals when the park is at its most vibrant. It felt like a central meeting place where people could gather, relax, and enjoy the natural beauty that Yangmingshan is known for. Overall, my experience at the Flower Clock was one of peaceful reflection and appreciation for the intricate artistry that went into creating this...
Read moreI was here on my third trip in Taipei and I must say the feel here on this mountain is different from what I experienced from those in other countries.

Nonetheless, we took an unorthodox track and hence ended up in routes that weren’t meant for visitors, probably. The view was okay and the flower clock was what it says it is, nothing fanciful IMHO.
To make things worse, there were no flowers in the flower festival as there were heavy downpour over the past week..
Tips : Do take note of the bus timings if you are hitching bus rides around the mountain as they run on over 30...
Read moreAt the end of January, I embarked on a scenic stroll from the bus station to Yangmingshan Flower Clock, relishing in Taiwan's delightful and secure walking streets. Despite the hour-long journey, the abundance of sakura blossoms upon arrival hinted at their forthcoming splendor in mid-February. For a slight additional walk, a 100NTD fee grants access to an even more picturesque spot. The clock itself commands attention with its impressive size and unwavering accuracy. Despite the heat and distance, I'd still rate this gem an 8/10, though be prepared for the trek. Rumor has it, snow graced the area just a week prior, adding to its allure. Don't miss the nearby ice cream store; the treats are as delicious as they are satisfyingly affordable, making it a...
