Yangmingshan National Park, located just outside Taipei, Taiwan, is a sprawling natural reserve known for its breathtaking landscapes and diverse ecosystems. The park spans over 11,000 hectares and is home to a mix of dense forests, open grasslands, and terraced fields, creating a varied and captivating environment for exploration.

A key feature of Yangmingshan is its remarkable geothermal activity. Throughout the park, you can find fumaroles—natural vents that release hot steam from deep within the earth. This unique geothermal landscape is complemented by a variety of hot springs, which offer visitors the chance to relax in soothing thermal waters amid lush surroundings.

One of the park's most attractive aspects is its seasonal floral displays. In the spring, cherry blossoms bloom in abundance, transforming the landscape into a sea of pink and white. Later in the year, azaleas, calla lilies, and other flowers take center stage, turning hillsides into vibrant patches of color. These seasonal changes make the park a favorite spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts.

Yangmingshan also offers a range of hiking trails that cater to all skill levels. From easy strolls through peaceful meadows to challenging treks up steep slopes, the park has something for everyone. Along the way, visitors are treated to panoramic views of Taipei and the surrounding mountains, providing ample opportunities to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Whether you're seeking a quiet place to unwind, a scenic hike, or a unique geothermal experience, Yangmingshan National Park has something to offer. Its blend of natural beauty, diverse flora, and striking geothermal features makes it a must-visit destination for anyone...

The atmosphere is perfect! It's really peaceful since not many people visited this park when I came here, and the weather is perfect too! There's a flower clock nearby, and many toilets & seatings are available! This park is quite big. There's a waterfall about a 10 minute walk away from here [Datun Falls], and another one nearby. Lots of parking is available, and there's a couple of eating options nearby, selling local Taiwanese food as well as different Chinese...

This is a good place to go during the weekend. It’s not too far from the city center but I highly recommend you to go by private car as only few bus to there and you may not have any seat to rest when commuting. The air is so fresh, you can have a whole green view. I really...
