I very nearly aborted my hike as I missed the tourist bus twice! but I made it in the end and didn't regret it. It was easy enough to enter and hike even as a solo female hiker. I got there close to noon, and there were many hikers going up and down. I always felt safe even with the monkeys. I did have remnants of breakfast as a takeaway item but disposed of it before I entered the trail.

Very very large area of untouched nature with lots of birds, monkeys and other wildlife. Comes together with spectecular view on the city. Serveral times I found stations and pavillions where you can restock your water bottle. Superb organisation!!

【南壽山登山口】是許多高雄在地人與外地旅人最常選擇的輕健行路線起點。 一來到南壽山登山口，首先感受到的是一股山林氣息與市區截然不同的清新空氣。這裡設有明顯的指標與步道說明牌，讓第一次造訪的遊客也能輕鬆掌握方向。步道前段為緩坡水泥路或石階步道，走起來不會太吃力，適合各年齡層的健行愛好者。 南壽山的特色之一就是——猴子，在這條登山口也常常能見到台灣獼猴出沒，它們時而安靜地坐在樹邊，時而群聚在步道旁，為整趟登山增添了不少樂趣。不過也要提醒遊客：千萬不要餵食野生動物，並保持距離尊重牠們的棲息空間。 越往上走，視野也越開闊。南壽山步道沿途設有幾處觀景平台與休息區，可以俯瞰高雄港、西子灣、85大樓與整個市區風貌，是攝影愛好者與夕陽迷最愛的景點之一。尤其在傍晚時分登頂，橙紅色的夕陽染亮海面與城市，景色真的非常迷人，讓人忘卻一路的汗水與辛勞。 另外，登山口附近還可延伸至壽山動物園、忠烈祠與壽山情人觀景台等地，若體力足夠，也可以安排一段連走的路線，讓整趟登山之旅更豐富有趣。 總結來說，南壽山登山口是一個兼具親民難度、自然景觀與市區可及性的理想起點。不論你是清晨想運動、午後想放鬆，或是假日與朋友家人同行，都能在這裡找到適合自己的節奏與風景。這裡是高雄最具代表性的登山路線之一，值得一走再走。
