Luodong Sports Park — Attraction in Luodong

Do not be fooled by the road signs or the locals when they tell you that the park is just a walk down the main road from Luodong Train Station. Yes, it is a walk, But it is at least a half an hour walk. So you should either take a cab, bus (rather long wait), or cycle (use the U bikes, which can be unlocked with your easy travel card (悠游卡).

When you enter the park, you will see a pond where you can feed fishes (buy the fish feed from the dispenser) and ducks (bring your own bread).

The park is rather big, so take a leisure stroll.

There are 2 look out points, I'd recommend the one at the side of the basketball courts, which gives you a somewhat unblocked 360 degree view of the city and the mountains.

It's called an exercise park because it has: basketball courts (9 courts) tennis courts (at least 4) swimming pool (not open during winter) running track (with clear view of the mountain) baseball pitch soccer field rugby field

The best park in Taiwan, in my opinion. Lots of varied terrain and landscaping to explore. Wheelchair access. Cool features like fountains, pagodas, a "volcano mountain", springs, bridges, hills, forested area, fish feeding, snacks and refreshments, bike rental, picnic tables. Sports facilities like pool, basketball courts, baseball stadium, PU track, rugby field, tennis courts, and more. There's even a secret spot with "magical acoustics." Locals know. ; )
