The easily recognizable bright red Guandu Bridge (關渡大橋) is a 165 m long steel through-type arch bridge erected in 1983 and carries what is now Provincial Highway 15 . It spans the Danshui River and links Bali and Danshui.

＜此橋為了觀光，把原本的機車道挪為行人便道＞ 道路規劃單位製造出問題後， 疊床架屋讓機車道與汽車道的入橋與出橋交換動線複雜， 不惜違背駕駛慣性與徒增每日交通尖峰時段流量及罔顧用路人安全， 每回道路異動， 即會有不少用路駕駛枉死次路段…… 此橋堪稱臺灣最被糟蹋的重要橋樑代表。

※後記：2021年7月曾經建議公部門可考慮將行人便道歸還原始的橋樑設計，然後在橋的左右兩側向外拓建行人便道，由於是行人專用所以不會對橋梁造成太大的負擔，且對行人景觀更佳。不過未被採納，且回文如下： 「有關您反映本市八里區龍米路1段(上關渡大橋匝道處南北兩側)機車道疑義案，查該路段於109年設置禁行機車標線，考量該路段為大型車輛往臺北港行經動線，大型車輛行駛車速快，轉向及後視距皆有死角，不易看到前方或後方的車輛，易造成車禍事故；另查該橋樑的進入端為往八里及往淡水或往五股及往淡水方向分流之重要路口，爰規劃機慢車專用道供機慢車及分流安全通行，且該路段車流尖離峰車流均大，倘發生重大事故，將使該路段交通癱瘓，仍請用路人依現況標誌標線行駛，以維護行車安全。 感謝您特地來信，如有其他需要改進之處，亦請您多多賜教，若您對本府回覆內容仍有不了解之處，歡迎來電詢問相關承辦同仁。
