Honestly I like this area much better than Jiufen, given that it is not commercialized and almost no tourists are around. It is so peaceful, clean and quiet.
Qitang Old Street is an important street of Jinguashi. The old street built along the mountain is the main living circle of the miners in the early years. In its most prosperous period, 80,000 gold diggers gathered here! In addition to restaurants and grocery stores, there were entertainment venues such as jewelry shops, pool halls, and bars! During the Japanese Rule period, it was known as the...
Read moreVery beautiful and quiet with hidden cats if you can find them. I went very early in the morning so nothing was open yet, but the views and fresh air was perfect.
I will say if you don’t like climbing stairs, this will probably not be as fun of an experience as it could be. On the bright side, since it’s not busy, you can...
