BEWARE: the “international diving show” which precedes the sea lion and dolphin show is NOT a regular diving show! It features very offensive depictions of a transwoman and (at times) scantily clad men in speedos. There is a little sexual innuendo humor, with the show beginning with offensive character pulling biniki tops and bottoms from behind audience member’s seats as if they had stolen them, and dramatically squeezing water out of her fake breasts after dives. I appreciate the actors commitment to the character, but it’s an offensive character. Personally, it was offensive, I was uncomfortable, and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. There was no warning of the shows content. But, I’m also aware that things like speedos and sexual references are less accepted in my country (USA) than many others, so use your own judgement. I went with a Taiwanese elementary school and the teachers were shocked by this too. They said this type of show would be normal for adults, but not children and had no idea it would be like this. They do perform some cool dives, and it would have been nice if it just focused on that.
The sea lion and dolphin shows were great. More attention was clearly put to the educational value of these segments, with a few tricks mainly to highlight the biological information being shared. The sea lion trainer brought the sea lions closer to the audience than I have ever been to a sea lion, and it moved among the audience so everyone got close to it. The aquarium itself has a lot of cool animals as well. Overall, I recommend it if you’re in the Yeliu Geopark area. You can check at the ticket window if they will do the “international diving show” and ask the timing if that’s something you’re interested in or would...

Read moreDon't expect some world-class attraction here. The place definitely needs upgrading. The dolphin/sea lion show was just ok, and the aquarium exhibits were so-so. But overall, the whole place could use a lot more scope.
To their credit, though, the customer service was really very friendly. You can sense the heart behind their smiles. I hate giving this review three stars because the staff was really friendly. Heck, even the dolphins and the seals were wearing their warm hearts out on their sleeves.... er, fins. But as things stand, as of writing, the whole place really do need some major improvements.
For starters, they could consider enlarging the fish tanks and putting in more exotic fish. Put in a whale, for heaven's sake. They could also redo the whole place to make it look new. I think effort should be applied to lift this place up from its local-grade...
