「安平蚵灰窯文化館」是臺灣唯一完整保存的傳統蚵灰窯，歷史可追溯至荷治時期（17世紀）。早期安平漁民將牡蠣殼燒製成「蚵灰」，混合糖水、糯米汁製成「三合土」，作為建築黏合劑與造船材料，見證海洋資源轉化為生活智慧的歷程。

「灰窯尾社」地名由來 安平因蚵灰產業興盛，衍生地名「灰窯尾社」，窯址周邊曾是產業核心區，現僅存此窯見證歷史。

三合土秘方：古蹟的隱形推手 臺灣多處古蹟（如安平古堡、傳統民居）均以蚵灰三合土建造，其黏性與耐候性優於普通石灰，直至1980年代工業水泥興起才逐漸停產。

環境爭議中的熄火 蚵灰燒製時產生大量白煙，1985年後因環保法規趨嚴與空污問題，產業全面終結，窯口從此封存。
