National Taiwan University (NTU)

National Taiwan University (NTU) is truly one of Asia’s finest academic institutions. Nestled in the heart of Taipei, NTU offers a unique blend of academic excellence and natural beauty. One of the most striking aspects of the university is its lush green environment. The campus is beautifully maintained, with tree-lined avenues, botanical gardens, and small lakes that create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere for students and visitors alike.

The biodiversity on campus is impressive. From native plants to various bird species, NTU feels like a natural reserve in the middle of a bustling city. This not only enhances the quality of campus life but also provides students studying environmental and biological sciences with an excellent hands-on learning environment.

NTU attracts a diverse student body from across the world, fostering a rich cultural and academic exchange. The university’s infrastructure is modern and well-equipped, with top-class libraries, laboratories, and recreational facilities. Lecture halls are comfortable and technologically up-to-date, supporting a dynamic learning experience.

Overall, National Taiwan University stands out not only for its strong academic reputation but also for its commitment to sustainability and global community. It’s a wonderful place for students who are passionate about education and the...

Taiwan’s top national university whose roots trace back to Imperial Japanese occupation.

The infrastructure inside looked pretty much like one of its sister universities that I’ve been to, which featured a lot of brick-type buildings with the same imperialistic vibe.

The atmosphere inside the campus is chill, and definitely would suggest a stroll especially if one wants to take a breather from the bustling Taipei scene.

Overall, the place looked very interesting, although I wish though they’d be able to maintain the façade of most of the buildings because some of them...

Originally opened as Taihoku Imperial University in 1928 under Japanese rule as, it was reestablished as National Taiwan University after the end of World War II. NTU is generally considered Taiwan's #1 university and has a traditional design, over a flat landscape.

It is an interesting place to visit even if you are only temporarily in Taiwan The first thing you'll notice is the amount of students riding bicycles between classes. Students here are very nice and helpful, however unfortunately you will not be able to explore any buildings without...

Spent about 4 years for my college life here. Since it’s the top university in Taiwan, and students here are all diligent and smart, sometimes I thought that “I sucked!”(我就爛) compared to those smart students. As a result, I sometimes felt pressured or stressful during my college life. However, as a alumni of NTU, still feel thankful for the professors and classmates met here. Miss my college life after graduation, too. Note: The motto of NTU is “cultivate your integrity, advance your Intellect; love your country and people”, which in Chinese is 敦品力學 愛國愛人.

the campus in the Taipei city gives people breezes of green and spaces to walk to chill and to relax. plenty of eating and drinking around the campus. The campus is often quite and safe :) there is also a few restaurants and Mc Donald's on campus. There are also a couple parking lots and the on campus parking with reasonable fee (30-60 NTD/Hour). If you are alumnic you get 50% off :)
