Gongguan Night Market — Local services in Taipei

Home to numerous Thai restaurants that are utterly good. There are also many other places where one can find cheap but delicious dishes. There are several streets filled with food stalls (except on Wednesdays) where I buy takoyaki, sushi, grilled squid, pancakes, torched steak cut into bite-sized pieces, and more for 100nt or less. This place is also surrounded by outlets of branded athletic shoes such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Asics, Mizuno, Under Armour and so many more. Most of them are slightly cheaper than those from Ximen Night Market. I also buy cheap clothing from the stalls near the station, as well as in NET and English books for school in Bookman store where they have a discount for teachers. Also, our Christian church, Every Nation Taipei is just 3 minutes walk away. In...

For vegetarian and vegan food, the burgers up the lane of Shui-yuan Market Building are my fav. When you turn right in the lane, you can find a small vegetarian restaurant called Da-Jia. It serves noodles and rice. Walk a little further, you can find "Wen's Kitchen", where western style food is served. Nearby is a vegetarian steak restaurant. Loved the noodles there.

At the other side of the Shui-yuan Market, there is a spring roll stall with the vegan option. Also, a stall that sells vegetarian fried chicken and veggies is also at the same...

I tried these two; fry boneless chicken thigh & Indian burrito. There are a lot of street vandors and some in the market building. About the fry chicken, it's semi juicy, simple sauce of sweet chili sauce. Nothing fancy, and serve with some cabbage. it cost about 70? I think.. As for the Indian burrito, i ordered the signature, it uses naan to wrap, with a slice of cheddar cheese, a spoon full of their secret sauce, lots of curry cabbage, and touch of lamb meat. The first bite is awesome, it's easy to finish half of it, but then you kinda get tired of it. Very filling and satisfiable....
