This place is so beautiful, even the weather didn't even ruin it. There was live music from local talent. The sea was really nice, it's not possible to swim on certain days because there is no lifeguard but it's a nice place to go and relax for the day or have a BBQ with the family. There is a market where you can buy local wares. There are seafood and sausages all local Taiwanese style. There's a beautiful view of the mountains and surrounding area. There is also plenty of parking space for cars and scooters. There are even bike routes if you fancy a nice bike ride on your own or with the family. The hotels and hostels are really cheap in the area or you can even camp out if you fancy it. Plus I even went on a day when there was nothing really going on and not many people there. Then when you're finished you can follow the coast lime north or south to other nice attractions or you can head west in to the mountains...

Came here to relax and hear the waves. Was not disappointed. Beware it's not a sand beach. It's a different experience and sound as the waves hit the pebbles. Recommend visit during off peak time (e.g. weekdays) to maximize the enjoyment. Spend time explore the surrounding trails, watch local fishermen do work, look for interesting rocks, visit stores/restaurants, admire military jets take off from the nearby base (day time only), or simply sit and relax.
