First ⭐ you have to pay 2 or 3000tsh each to get into the reserve because it's a nature park t's very picturesque, before the tide is in. The best time to visit is when they tide is going out. There's a swing to take photos. And you can still swim, watch out for the odd sea urchin.
Second ⭐ there's a little juice bar and water on site. To the left as you come down the stairs There's A place to throw a towel down and soak up the rays.
Third ✨ there's a cool little bar/ restaurant About 100 meters down that nobody seems to know about, maybe because the beach bar would lose out. Pitty really, for me it's the best part of the trip.
You walk straight ahead into the water (this is why you go when the tide is going out, you don't want to get caught up against the rocks when the tied is coming in) stay up to 6 meters from the shore and don't want too far out into the seaweed.
It' should be all sand, great photo spots. Until you see the bar, that's built on the rocks hanging out out the water. Really cool, there's stairs from the beach up to the bar, great food all fresh. Great views of the ocean, I really love coming here to spend the day.
I gave it 3 ⭐⭐⭐ because they could be more organized, as it's a government site that you pay to come in. They could have rest rooms that are free. You can always go in the ocean lol.
Thumbs 👍 one off the best places to go...

The price is 2000shilling.
The place is not too big, the high tie comes really early, start around 11am. The distance is far, from town to beach around 1.5 hour.
In August, please go before 11am, after 11 o'clock, is becoming high tie, around 1 or 1:30pm, the water will cover all the beach. If possible, please go around 10 am, so that you can enjoy both beach and water, stay until 13:30 or 14:00.
If you want to go by local transport, you can go to FUONI first, find a daladala to go MAKUNDUCHI, price is 2500shilling, when is nearby the petrol station, please drop off and take a motorcycle, no daladala go to Mtende Beach. Motor cycle price price to the beach is around 3000shilling.
When I ask someone in the daladala, one of the residents in the Same daladala tell me he is live there, he can take me here, only 5000shilling, other people must 7000shilling. As I check in the map if walk here needs 1.5 hour, so i trust this lier. When I come back, is really early as is already high tie, no Beach can enjoy, I decide to walk outside. In this time, the lier appear, he knows I decide to walk, he tell me 3000shilling, i refuse, he say 2000 also ok. I feel too much...
Read moreThe most beautiful beach in Zanzibar! We rented scooters with my friends and drove around the island and visited different beaches. This one was definetly the most astonishing one. The dirt road that led to the beach was kind of bumpy and narrow, but we still managed to get there easily by our scooters. Once we arrived there I could not believe my eyes. White, beatiful sand, not a single person in sight, only sounds were the waves and the wind. The beach was so quiet and beautiful. It was just us. I think some locals use it as a fishing place, but you rarely find any tourists there.
Easily one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen in my entire life. Wish I could come back one day. If you get a change to visit this place you will not regret it. The best thing you can see...
