This is the waterfront community that involves three communities , Tha Luang, Talad ( Thai tongue means market ) Klang ( means middle ) and Talad Lang ( means lover ), is located on Sukhaphiban road ( Sukhaphiban is Thai tongue means sanitation : ( WHO ) sanitation is the prevention of diseases by controlling or eliminating the environmental factors which from links in the chain of transmission ) run along the west bank of Chanthaburi river ( local villagers call " Mae Nam Chanthaburi ", Mae Nam means river ), started from Wat Chan Bridge ( Wat means temple ) to Talad Lang market ( 1 kilometer length approximately ). The community is in Tambon ( sub district ) Wat Mai ( new ), Amphoe ( district ) Mueang, Chang Wat ( province ) Chanthaburi, 9 kilometers away on the southwestern direction of the city of Chanthaburi, on the eastern region of Thailand. This is the first community of Chanthaburi province, dating back to 300 year ago during the reign of king Narai of Ayutthaya kingdom, later during the reign of King Chulalongkorn ( king rama 4 ), the Chinese ( Hokkien, Teochew, Hakka Chinese, Cantonese and Hainan ) including Vietnamese migrated to settle down and live harmony with the local villagers. In the old day this community was trading center, there were seven ports in service: 1. Tha Luang ( Tha means port ), 2. Tha Moh Thod, 3. Tha Pracha ( means people ) Niyom ( means favorite ), 4. Tha Mae Pongsri, 5. Tha San Chao ( means shrine ), 6. Tha Wat Roman Catholic, 7. Tha Ta Tho ( Ta Tho means big eyes ), nevertheless the land transportation more developed and expanded in the reign of King Rama 6 resulting to the less important of travelling by water route and commercial center expanded in the west area and originated the Nam Phu ( means fountain ) Market. 🔍 ประวัติย่อ & สถาปัตยกรรม: • ถือกำเนิดมาตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยาตอนปลาย 300 กว่าปีที่แล้ว โดยชาวจีน ญวน และไทยอาศัยร่วมกัน เรียกสั้น ๆ ว่า “บ้านลุ่ม”  • ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 ถูกยกระดับเป็นย่านเศรษฐกิจสำคัญ มีร้านค้าริมน้ำที่รับสินค้า-เครื่องเทศจากท่าเรือ  • ปัจจุบันอนุรักษ์ตึกเก่า 100–300 ปี ในสไตล์จีน–โปรตุเกสและ “ขนมปังขิง” เรียงตัวเป็นย่านคนเดินกว่า 1 กม.
