I love Koh Chang— but it’s always missing one thing: a truly satisfying cup of coffee.

After nearly a week of this caffeine drought, I walk along the Chanthaburi riverside with my café radar switched on.

Just as I’m about to give up, a place catches my eye—C.A.P

Industrial vibes. Lush greenery. Modern, stylish, and effortlessly cool— this café fits right in whether it’s Bangkok, Seoul, or Tokyo.🪴📸

And the hipsters of Chanthaburi? They’re all here, clearly. Of course, I have to check it out.

🍨 The First Round

The warmth of the owner and staff already lifts my mood— and wait… is that a La Marzocco? Clearly, this café knows what good coffee is all about.

Their recommendation? Iced coffee with ice cream. It looks cool and sweet—and tastes even better.

One sip—wow. A week’s wait, totally worth it. I find myself clapping, literally.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Yes, this is the flavor I’ve been craving.

It’s sweet, sure— but great coffee doesn’t hide behind sweetness. Bold, balanced, and just right.

But one cup is never enough. I’m supposed to be on my way to Pattaya— but I turn the car around. Some coffees are worth a detour.

☕️ The Second Round

This time, I go for a latte. They ask me to choose the beans. Naturally, I ask for something fruity and acidic.

Then—surprise! The iced latte is 150 baht, while the ice cream coffee had been 110. A little unexpected, but I wait with curiosity.

Soon, the latte arrives, with “Colombia” marked on the cup.

One sip—hmm. The coffee itself is great. The milk, fresh and rich. But somehow, they don’t quite harmonize.

The body of the bean is strong and bold, almost overwhelming the milk. Probably better suited for an Americano— to enjoy the acidity and aroma on its own.

Later, I studied the QR-code menu and realized they had a default house bean for lattes—80 baht. I guess I unknowingly opted for an upgrade, in both flavor and price.🤣

Lesson learned: the house pick is often the safest and most balanced.

Though my second cup wasn’t quite what I expected, C.A.P became a true oasis in the middle of a personal coffee drought.

Even the menu board makes me want to try everything.
