Gong Kong Market — Attraction in Chiang Mai Province

This is the best market in Chiang Mai, located at the faculty of Agriculture and within walking distance from the Nimman hood. I visited as much as could, its not open every weekend. There is a large section of food stalls, very friendly vendors and the most delicious and reasonably priced ready to eat food I found in the city. Another area is fresh fruits and veg, again the best prices I found as a tourist. Some really creative clothing and crafts are here too, as well as plants and flowers. I rarely if ever saw tourists here, its such a gem. The Aggie Hut is open each day and sells ready to eat food, bought in fresh each morning, as well as produce and lots of organic and health items. Lots of snack foods, veggies and fruits by locals. Some plants, cactus and flowers are also on side making it a lively community local market.
