Phuket Kathu Moneky show — Attraction in Kathu

We came to this place as a part of a city tour. This is comeplete and utter cruelty. The elephants are tied with chains and cannot even take more than 3 steps. They look sick and very much unhappy. I might not be an elephant behavior expert however any person can see this.. There was also no water in sight and elephants are expected to take people on rides on the back.

To top it all off, they are beaten with a stick if they don't listen. These bruises...

Not a good place to visit (part of city your..) elephants on chains, waiting for trekking... a small elephant you can see in the picture - he got hit on the head several times, you can see the bruises.... Not worth a penny. Hurtful view... Terrible experience. Avoid! Visit elephant...
