SCAM ALERT! While making a U-turn, my car lightly touched the rubber tire on the side of the road. It did not stop the car or cause a spin, so I drove on and finished the 15 minute drive. Then an employee came up and said that I had scratched the car, while pointing to a scratch on the paint, and asked for a fine of 5000B. I checked the other 5 cars parked nearby and found that 4 of them had very similar scratches in almost the same place. The staff was not happy about this finding and started saying something offensive in both English and Thai (as confirmed by our Thai friends on the spot). We didn't want to make a scene and we were on a tight schedule, so we argued for a few minutes and agreed to pay 3000B to settle the matter. This place offers 1050B for a 15min ride and will definitely try their best to rip you off. And obviously they are targeting tourists. If you find yourself in the same situation, do not hesitate to call the Tourist Police (number: 1155) or your embassy. Also, the cars can easily reach 70km/h, but they do not have seat belts. The course is okey, same with the carts. But I withdrawed 4500 bath right before we went driving. I paid 1100 bath for 20 mins. Which was a good price. But i put my wallet in my backpack and gave my backpack to the friendly staff for safe keeping while i was driving. When i got back to the hotel I noticed i only had 2400 bath left. So I was missing 1000 bath. I'm not saying they stole it, but a 1000 bath was stolen while they had my backpack. So beware, and dont bring more cash than you need or keep your wallet in your pocket while driving. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I think it's important that no else gets the same...
