I had the unfortunate displeasure of visiting this so-called camp, though “concentration camp” would be a far more fitting name given the appalling treatment of the elephants. These majestic creatures are treated as though they are garbage. The day before, I visited the Elephant Sanctuary, and the stark contrast is beyond words. Just look at the photos—these poor animals are visibly desperate to escape their miserable existence, but they are trapped, forced into servitude as mere attractions for human entertainment.
Allowing visitors to ride them? That is not just unethical—it’s outright inhumane. Perhaps the owners themselves should try carrying people on their backs to understand the cruelty they’re inflicting. If you want to run a business, fine. But exploiting and abusing animals in the process is beyond reprehensible.
And to make matters worse, the arrogance in your responses to anyone questioning your so-called expertise in raising elephants is just disgusting. How dare you act as though others are the problem when you are running what can only be described as a prison for animals?
This place is not only sad; it’s a disgrace to anyone who values animal rights. It’s cheap, yes—but the cost to the animals and the trauma of witnessing this abuse is far too high. I absolutely do not recommend visiting this travesty of a place....
Read moreThis elephant park is a rort and a tourist trap!!! The prices are overrated and I find it very unappealing to see elephants in their state of despair needing their natural habitat. Within the vicinity of few kms there are a few elephant sanctuaries that do similar tours and packages including that of tiger and snakes! We did not do any elephant rides but only went inside to feed them and have a close up encounter which was nice but the environment that they are kept in is not...
Read moreOne star because I can’t do any less!. Horrible experience I don’t even know how we fell form the taxi driver convincing us to go here to “trek” aka ride an elephant. We payed $1000 bhat pp and immediately asked to sit on the elephant who was in obvious distress and they used some sort of sharp tool to stab him so he can calm down. I am ashamed of this and of us even trying to participate. It’s not safe for the animals and definitely not safe for humans to ride...
