Lanta Klong Nin — Attraction in Krabi Province

I think one of the more underrated beaches here on Lanta. I was always a big Long Beach fan but having spent 3 weeks at Sri Lanta here, I really came to appreciate Klong Nin Beach. Loads of bars and restaurants, especially in the northern half – great to sit and watch the sun go down over the Andaman. The southern half gets gradually quieter and more peaceful which is lovely by day. It is rocky in parts but they tend to be big, solid rocks and the beach remains soft and sandy – unlike Long Beach that’s quite coral-y and Klong Dao that’s often abrasive and shell-y. In dry season all of Lanta’s beaches are pretty clean, and this one’s no different. Unlike Long Beach it’s also much easier to access this beach as the coastal road passes quite close...

TLDR; I'd rather a cleaner beach with clear water and more people than a quiet beach full of glass.

Pros: not crowded since it's mostly accessible for the resorts. Pack of friendly dogs roam. Fun to look for hermit crabs. No long tail boats so it's quiet.

Cons: Gritty sand, lots of trash and way too much glass. I was nervous to walk at night because there was glass all over the place. There's a break of rocks in the water so in some areas you can't swim out too far without risking hitting them, water gets deep suddenly and...

Superb little beach. Yeah, sometimes sea lice. But wrap your head around it. They are not so bad. They come and go. One day jellyfish. Then I got out… but overall, in three weeks. I found a nice quiet place on this beach morning and sunset and had wonderful swims. If you want to eat in the sand. They are some nice choices. Can go wrong with this beach.
