I think one of the more underrated beaches here on Lanta. I was always a big Long Beach fan but having spent 3 weeks at Sri Lanta here, I really came to appreciate Klong Nin Beach. Loads of bars and restaurants, especially in the northern half – great to sit and watch the sun go down over the Andaman. The southern half gets gradually quieter and more peaceful which is lovely by day. It is rocky in parts but they tend to be big, solid rocks and the beach remains soft and sandy – unlike Long Beach that’s quite coral-y and Klong Dao that’s often abrasive and shell-y. Pros: not crowded since it's mostly accessible for the resorts. Pack of friendly dogs roam. Fun to look for hermit crabs. No long tail boats so it's quiet.
