I would recommend to avoid this restaurant. It is 3 times more expensive than any other restaurants nearby for the low quality food. The staff was friendly to us but I really felt sorry for them as every time it gets busy (e.g. at lunch), they are absolutely not able to handle anything. It is easily resulting in absurdly long waiting times. Once I had to wait for over an hour for a smoothie, another time we ordered food to a room (and it were simple 2 fruit salads), and we waited for over 2 hours and had to write and call several times. But that was not yet as bad as food poisoning we got in the morning after the BBQ night there, which stole 2 days from our vacation. I don't know if the meat/fish were not good or the grill which was very weak and took us over 30-40 minutes standing there and waiting for food to be ready (at least we thought so) or what we else noticed later during our stay, is that this grill after every BBQ night was simply standing dirty, stinking, with some food rests on it, outside in the sun and heat on the next day, without being properly cleaned.. I think this restaurant really needs some...
Read moreThis is the breakfast place for Sri Lanta Resort. Breakfast is OK (as long as you go early enough that everything is filled and you don’t have to clear your own tables, wait for clean cups to come out etc), but food from here for lunch / dinner isn’t great. Basic. I can see why it’s rated an abysmal 2.9* on Google. Do yourself a favour and just walk up the beach just a couple of minutes and eat at one of the beach restaurants where service might not be always great, but at least the food is delicious (and cheaper than Chedi). Especially avoid on this place on ‘BBQ night’ where about 20 of you will be huddled around 2x unkempt BBQs sweating and being smoked to death whilst having the ‘pleasure’ of cooking...
Read moreWell, well, well! How long I've been looking for the worst pizza in the whole wide world! I finally found it here! Initially we tought that we have been served an appetizer, as the paperthin pizza looked like baked tortilla with some toppings. Ahhh the toppings! Truly amazingly terrible festival of poor choice of ingredients and not giving a damn in regards of quality! Now the best part of this mockery served to us in form of two round shaped pieces of cardboard - flour! Yes - flour! The layer of it was literally thicker than the "pizza" dough itself. What a marvelous experience it was, for just a price of a regular...
