Read moreI can only speak to the food court area as I did not partake in the bars. During opening hours, staff are very friendly and laid back. I asked, apparently at a non-food stand, it was a coffee stand, about the availability of food and I was pointed to a table and given a menu from a nearby food vendor. The employee told me it was all "same same."
The chicken kao praow and mango sticky rice were flavorful and delicious. To top it all, it was inexpensive.
Contrast a day later when I happened to walk to the same food court on a busy Friday night and man the vibe was different. No longer relaxed and easy going. Don’t be put off by the bustling vibe—Tree Town is home to around 20 food vendors, each vying for your attention. Take a stroll, have a look, and trust your instincts. I chose one spot based on the menu (see attached), and I’m glad I did.

I had the spicy pork salad with sticky rice—absolutely delicious, though the portion was so generous I only managed half. Took the rest away along with a medium-spicy papaya salad, which made for a perfect second meal at home.
I even asked to speak with the chef to compliment her directly and offered a small tip, which she accepted with genuine gratitude. A lovely touch to an already great experience.
Highly recommend exploring Tree Town with an open mind and empty stomach. You might just find your new...
