Will straight get to the review. Things that did not work for me:
Things that worked for me:
My recent stay at Golden Beach Hotel Pattaya was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we experienced numerous issues that seriously detracted from our stay.
Firstly, there was no bell desk assistance offered upon arrival. This was particularly problematic as we were traveling with an infant, making the check-in process inconvenient and stressful. When we got to our room, we immediately noticed blood stains on the bed sheets. This was alarming, and when we requested housekeeping to change them, they were suspicious of us and hesitant to comply.
Another issue was with the tea and coffee supplies. They replenish these only once a day, and when we asked for more, even offering to pay, the staff were rude and uncooperative.
The condition of the towels provided was unacceptable. They were brown in color, implying that they do not use bleach detergent for cleaning, which is a standard practice for disinfecting linen in upper-category hotels. Some of the towels were even torn.
During checkout, they attempted to charge us for a stain, accusing us of causing damage. They even asked our Thai driver to vouch for us. Fortunately, I was able to catch their bluff as I have a background in hospitality management. The so-called “stain” was just a few drops of baby food that we had wiped off, leaving only water to dry.
The breakfast offering was also subpar. Although there were Indian options, they tasted like stale Indian food. The only acceptable item was the tea.
Overall, I have informed our travel agency to avoid booking this hotel for future trips. Despite its Google star rating, this hotel seems suitable only for bachelors visiting Pattaya for fun, and is not a good choice for families. Additionally, the staff’s behavior towards Indian guests was disrespectful, treating us as though we were a nuisance.
I would not recommend Golden Beach Hotel Pattaya to anyone seeking a comfortable and...
Read moreThis is a budget friendly three star hotel. The location is excellent. The beach, malls and restaurants are located around it. It is a very old hotel with old amenities. If you are on a strict budget then this place could be an option for you.
I did not feel safe here. To start with I had a very bad incident where there was an additional door in my room which kept being knocked over and over late at night. The day before I checked out there were house keeping staff who walked into my room when I was present in the room and taking a nap. There are no lockers in the room. Dropping the key off at the lobby and valuables in the locker every time I go out is a hassle.
Housekeeping was a nightmare. There were stains and bed bugs on the sheets. I don't think housekeeping did anything at the washroom. There was a water logging issue at the sink. Kettle is provided but coffee or tea isn't. The two bottles of water limit they impose definitely isn't enough and the water tastes weird. One day a housekeeping staff refused to replace the empty water bottle stating time was over. Luckily the central mall is located right in front of the hotel so we purchased our water from there.
Do not stay here if you have small children. There is loud music playing outside all night long. There is only one plug point in the room and it is two point one. I had to walk around in the middle of the night and find an adapter at a 711 store located nearby.
If you have a lot of patience you will excel at communicating with the staff here. Some are rude, some are polite and some of them just stare at you.
The air conditioning had a mind of its own. During day time it hardly used to cool the room and in the night it gets super cold.
If you can't find any other hotel for these rates then go here. The central mall is located right in front of it and the beach is a two minute walk away...
