A Fun-Filled Family Adventure at Pattaya Doraemon Run 2024
I recently participated in the Pattaya Doraemon Run, and it was an absolute blast from start to finish! Whether you're a dedicated runner or just a fan of Doraemon, this event offers something for everyone.
Organization: The event was incredibly well-organized, with clear instructions and ample signage guiding participants to the start line. Registration was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that everyone had a great experience.
Themed Experience: The Doraemon theme was the highlight of the day. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by colorful Doraemon decorations, music, and, of course, other fans dressed in creative Doraemon-themed costumes. The attention to detail really made the event feel special, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making it an immersive experience.
The Run: The course itself was well-planned, taking us through some scenic parts of Pattaya. It was suitable for all ages and fitness levels, with both competitive runners and families with young children participating. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with plenty of encouragement from the crowd and event volunteers along the way.
Entertainment and Activities: After the run, the fun continued with various Doraemon-themed activities and games. There were photo opportunities with life-sized Doraemon characters, a merchandise booth with exclusive event goodies, and plenty of food and drink options. It felt more like a festival than just a race, which made it a fantastic day out.
Overall Experience: The Pattaya Doraemon Run was a delightful event that brought together fans of all ages in a celebration of fitness, fun, and everyone's favorite robotic cat. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a unique experience, this event is a must-attend.
Well done. I’ll definitely be...

If you ever find yourself in Thailand during April, you have to experience Songkran — and there’s no crazier place for it than Pattaya Beach. I went this year, and honestly, it was one of the wildest, most fun festivals I’ve ever been a part of.
From the moment you step onto Beach Road, you’re fair game. Locals, tourists, little kids, and even shopkeepers line the streets with water guns, buckets, and ice-cold water barrels. Forget about staying dry — it’s not happening. I tried, for about five minutes, and got absolutely drenched by a group of strangers (who then handed me a drink and wished me a happy new year). It’s that kind of vibe.
Music blasts from every corner, street stalls crank out grilled meats and Thai snacks, and people dance right in the middle of the road. It’s chaos in the best way possible. The entire beach area turns into one giant water fight mixed with a beach party.
A couple of tips if you go:
Bring a waterproof pouch for your phone and cash. Trust me on this.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting soaked and maybe splashed with powder too.
Be ready to smile a lot — random people will come up and smear scented powder on your face as part of the tradition.
Stay hydrated, and grab a few cold beers or cocktails from the beach bars along the way.
So if you ever find yourself in Pattaya during Songkran, jump in, get soaked, and enjoy one of the happiest, most unforgettable celebrations you’ll ever experience.
Would you like me to tweak it, add a little humor, or maybe make it a bit longer?

Read morePattaya beach has been undergoing many major changes since I have seen it first, back in mid eighties until today. At one side, is the long stretch of the beach itself with nice sandy area, followed by a number of private groups of resting recliners shaded by large umbrellas which you could use for a small fee, and enjoy a drink and/or a drink. The other side is another long stretch of shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels, massage parlors, etc, and the two stretches are divided by the famous “Beach Road” of Pattaya. Just be aware that there are many individual sellers who will continuously try to sell you something or another, just be polite. Moving from one spot to another along the beach can be done on foot, or using any means of available transportation (Taxis, etc). The beach road is well known for arranging various major events (concerts, festivals, fireworks, etc). The beach practically starts from Dust Thani Hotel, all the to Walking Street. During daytime, it is usually quiet and relaxing but it could be very hot. However, at night, it becomes very busy with many visitors and the scene changes dramatically. It is a major tourist attraction and...
