Rock Factory — Restaurant in Pattaya City

This Rock temple provides a great variety of music, that is very well performed by some local copy bands. Some lead guitarist plays even quite virtuosly. And one lead vocal sang the Danish part of "For Evigt" almost without accent. Ok I would prefer less Metal, but it is impressive how variated their playlists are. Rock Factory offer ok food and cocktails. It is the only place in Pattaya, where I can get a Margarita!!! The serving staff and the guards are nice people. The servers need to be less eager though. When You just have finished a drink, are over You like voltures clearing the table and aggressively asking if You want more to drink. Come on relax. I will order when I am ready. The worst example is when the band played "Easy Livin'" An old Uriah Heep song. These iconic songs are SACRED!!! The STAFF SHOULD NOT DISTURB THE CUSTOMERS DURING THOSE SONGS. I was clapping, cheering and swinging and could sense out of the corner of my eyes, that up to five staffers panicly tried to contact me about drinks. They could not imagine that someone rather would listen to music than order...

On 30 October 2025 they had schedule a US band called "Jump". A well known tribute band to Van Halen. many expats heard about it and wanted to attend.

$25 per person with one drink. ticket said specifically "Jump" performs at 700pm. i thought that was not valid. i could of asked the bar the day before. they should of said "doors open". they did not.

get their 650pm. get an OK table. "oh, thai band for one hour before Jump plays". translation as i live in thailnd: we will milk you for drinks for hours.

"Jump" did not go on until 1015pm. i left got a pizza and came back. what 2 drinks an hour for 3 hours to pour money at this place.

deceptive. very deceptive. staff was nice. the place was beyond overpacked but it is open air so "IF" there was an emergancy no issue. in the US the fire department would of shut them down.

the band Jump were great. another deceptive bar in thailand. not a bad thing here: just you got to know this country.

i would not go back to this bar....

I must say that the Filipino band on the photo brings more people in. You can see that they love what they’re doing; singing and performing. The talent is unbelievable for me. To see is to believe 👀.

Prices here are cheap and reasonable, seats are good and fans are everywhere. It’s not so hot inside like i thought it was and you can watch people passing through the road, see what’s happening. The normal Pattaya, if you know what I mean.

However, if you’d like to have a conversation with a friend or someone you just met. It’s not a good place to be cause you’d hardly be able to hear each other. But of course, it’s one of the nice places to chill out, watch and hear rock music.

From the bar name itself, Rock Factory, they don’t play RnB or Pop of course. It needs to be rock...
