Koh Lamphu Park — Attraction in Surat Thani Province

Beautiful park in the middle.of the city surrounded by water . Nicely organized jogging tracks and bicycle tracks. Lots of slides and grassy area for kids as well there is a separate area for kids cycling .in the middle of the park , there is a large pond full of large fishes. Be mindful if you feed the fish , a number of pigeons will surround you in no time , but they are friendly as well. There were 2 small soccer fields and 1 beach volley field . Lots of manual work out equipments installed in 3 different areas , all new and in very good condition , plated stainless steel . Just need to be careful if kids are cycling or running or the cycling / vehicles track. As vehicles are allowed to go around the park , lots of cars come bye especially after 5 pm, then the park is packed. Do not forget to get some snacks and water before entering the park as it seems like no vendors are allowed in the park . There are some small shops just before the bridge to the park , as well few long tail boats will park on one side of the park selling noodles, sausages , coconuts etc.. but not sure will be there allways . Over all great place to handout with family . If you want to enjoy bit peaceful and quietish time , be there at day time as evenings are packed . Dogs are allowed...

The atmosphere is very good for exercising. The morning air is even better. If you run around Koh Lamphu, it is about 1.5 kilometers. Cute little park, located on an island in the river. Nice place for a jog or a stroll. I walked all the way around in about 20 minutes. Peaceful there, with just the sounds of birds calling, until a long tail boat comes by, that is. Wow, they are noisy! But the park itself is clean and well maintained. Exercise equipment looks shiny and new. Two toilet blocks...
