Tambon Tha Wasukri, Amphoe Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya, Chang Wat Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya. In A.D. 1347( B.E.1890), after migrating to this area he set first stronghold and stayed in the wooden palace called “ Vieng Lek Palace “, he established Ayutthaya city in A.D.1351 ( Friday, March, 12 B.E. 1894, 09.00 a.m. 54 minutes some sources refer to Friday, March 4, B.E.1893, 09.00 a.m. 54 minutes which is the traditional calendar) , he issued an order to construct 3 Throne - halls, Pitoon Maha Prasart, Phaichayon Maha Prasart and Isawan Maha Prasart ( in A.D.1448 ( B.E. 1991) Somdej Phraboroma Tri Lokanat offered these 3 Throne - halls as aforementioned to be used as Shrine where are “ Wat Phra Sri Sanphet “ present day, after offering 3 Throne-halls, he issued an order to build 2 more Throne-halls, Mangklapisek Maha Prasart and Trimook, there were 7 kings resided here, totally 98 years. Later on he moved north to establish new palace on the north moats near “ Lopburi River” which called “ Klong Mueang “ nowadays, first 2 Throne-halls built were Benjarat Maha Prasart and Sanphet Maha Prasart, apart from these there was one more Throne- hall called Mangklapisek or so called Viharn Somdej Phra Maha Prasart, 16 kings resided totally 182 years. ( open daily from 07.00 a.m. until 06.30 p.m.(18.30), admissions fee is THB 10 for Thai and THB 50 for foreigners).
Of the six temples on the combo entry ticket, this one was not worth a visit. Note that you can access this site on the same entry ticket as Wat Phra Si Sampet. Also note that it seems that many of the photos people have posted are not actually from this site, they are from nearby temples. This site is nothing but some brick foundations in an open field. I walked all around the site but didn't find it interesting.
Very nice compound to walk around with impressive buildings. The royal palace is just the most beautiful palace anywhere. Also the museums are worth visiting as not many visitors go there. Did not take any guided tours as the information provided will not stick anyway. Just walk through and admire the beauty of the place!
This is not worth stopping by, just some few stone structures make you realise that it at some point were something here, but they don't give you any information about what it might have been. This city has so much amazing to offer, so don't waste your time going around here
Hidden site. You will not notice the entrance to this park if you don't play close attention. The entrance is on the side of the Wat Phra Sri Sanphet. There's plenty of trail to follow and information about the ruinns.
