Interesting dar ‘house’ to see how rich men used to live in the Medina in past. It also has amazing view over the Medina. Sadly, the guy selling tickets didn’t bother to tell about the place, although the information card says, you could ask the staff for information about a specific point. There were three girls who rented the place at the same day for some photo shoots and they showed me around and told about the place.

The house was structured in a well known style found during ottoman time which you can find in many countries in North Africa especially in the old Medina. The house was once owned by a rich family. I was lucky to find a bride with her traditional sousse wedding clothes. She was there for a photo session. People are proud of their culture 🙏. This house is worth visiting while touring around Sousse.

Great museum. You can visit a traditional house with all the details. The furniture, clothes and pictures are beautiful and the rooms stunning. You can visit the rooms, patio, kitchen and bathroom. You can also go to the second floor and the roof terrace. They also have a coffee shop at the top. It was close when I visit it because of Ramadan. I really recommend this visit if you go to Sousse.

Fantastic wee palace, so we'll preserved, presented and decorated. An absolute feast for the eyes. Staff were very helpful, despite limited English. And just 5 dinar entry fee. There's an A4 handout in English, but otherwise there's no curation (in any language). A tea/coffee on the terrase would have made this the perfect visit!

3 lovely kids greeted us at the entrance, handed info sheets in the requested language. The museum is full of objects, clothes, furniture and little interesting stories. You can climb the tower to see the views over the old city and rest on the rooftop terrace. Very nice museum, totally worth for its price.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. It's a beautifully preserved old dar, chock-full of art and interesting artifacts. You can tour a few bedrooms and the kitchen and climb up the tower for a good view of the city. A printed guide to each room in English was a helpful accompaniment.
