This has to be one of my favourite museums. This place gives you an insight into how the rich used to live. The museum all be it small is very well decorated. The view from the terrace and tower are spectacular. The terrace has a blocked view but from the tower you get 365 degrees view. Take your time to take in this place. The museum is so easy to find. It is situated along the Medina walls. It costs 5TND to enter which is a steal. Please note that often (especially off/season) the museum might not be open. There is a phone number on a wooden slab opposite the entrance. Alternatively, call them in advance. It took me three attempts to gain access. Excellent museum but please find someone to man it so...

dar essid A masterpiece of time from the bottom of the tent was the king of an aristocratic family .. Received to me what comes to mind from the descendants of the ancestors and our heritage .. The sister of the thinness Balzlha Arab, Majen and Albert, Alqasp types, the Arab mole Original, Chandeliers, Talifon and radio foot, And the whole key is there (this is what has been lost) .. The kidneys in the house of unity and every need to take their plaits, imitating the everyday life to be in Sousse And to form the home of this house and how old, how to preserve the heritage, and icon In the heart of a historic city Sush..hmaka Alash Nlquaoha from the house turned museum and visit it Tunisians...

I spent 6 days in Sousse/Monastir and came to this place 4 times. EVERYTIME it was closed and there was no notice of that. My hotel even called the owner after my first try telling me that it was closed that weekend due to personal reason but it will be open again after the weekend. When I arrived there again it was still closed and a neighbor told to come later as they don’t open on time. Of course they didn’t open later in the afternoon neither. 2 days later I wanted to try it for the last time and of course it was still closed.

Seriously disappointing as I think it is a beautiful and interesting...

Interesting dar ‘house’ to see how rich men used to live in the Medina in past. It also has amazing view over the Medina. Sadly, the guy selling tickets didn’t bother to tell about the place, although the information card says, you could ask the staff for information about a specific point. There were three girls who rented the place at the same day for some photo shoots and they showed me around and told about the place.

Felt like stepping back in time a fascinating glimpse of how wealthey men used to live their lifestyle traditions and surroundings the staff at the entrance were nice the man handed the info sheet so kindly and the woman was so worm. One note i wouldnt recommend climbing up the tower for ppl who r claustrophobic or suffer from severe asthma as the steps might feel so tight but the view on top is so worth it
