Nice ancient place to visit in Tunis There 40 levels ( seating rows). I didnt like the fact that they have set up a stage right in the middle which is disturbing the natural look of the place. Toilets available and plenty of parking. This is a 5 minutes walk from another roman ruins ( villa romania) in the same carthage area. Probably will take 15-20 minutes to visit. Very nice panoramic view once to get to the top row.

When you map out the various ruin sites, it makes a nice day walking around Carthage to visit them all. There’s no more than a 20 minute walk between them. This was the first location I visited and the security guard not only offered me a ticket by ‘genuine’ coins for side sale lol nice site, note the most remarkable but definitely interesting. Even a pack of street dogs call this place home

This amphitheater is partially uncovered, however it is actually enough to have an idea of how it used to be. This city was really built to be a north african rome. You can walk around and even sometimes make some findings, I’ve been told there are still people coming in to try to uncover some artifacts and antic items.

beautiful to visit with very few tourists. no signage or explanations so do your research or bring a tour guide. note that some other posted photos here are actually the roman amphitheater 1.5 km away. only need about 20 minutes to explore the site. $4 to enter and includes entrance to several other local sites

Out of all the ancient ruins, it felt like this was the least visited. Perhaps due to its size. There's no signage or anything, you're pretty much left to your own devices. Still a worthwhile experience! If anything, the emptiness is great because you can really take in the site, its history and introspect.

Part of the Carthage tour includes the Amphitheater. It’s in pretty poor shape after being leveled a few times but there’s enough left to get a good sense of the overall size and scale of the place. The weather was lovely for the drive and we got through all the Carthage stops.
