I decided to visit the museum and walked through it with the help of an audio guide. The labels in the museum are all only in Turkish, that's why without a guide visiting it would be useless. The audio guide had some tricky headphones but after some time I finally understood how to put them on. The range of topics was really good: from historical themes to current economy, traditions, and nature--everything related to the Trabzon region. The place has a really rich history so it's advisable to get a dive in it if you happen to be here. Unfortunately my audio guide device got discharged closer to the end of my audio tour. The staff don't seem to speak English.

Such an entertaining and informative place! I liked that the museum tells about the history of Trabzon and Black Sea area of Turkey, not the whole country, as they usually do in small city museums. The wax sculptures were so real I was scared hahaha But there are still 2 things to be improved: 1) no AC! We spent less time than we planned because it was really hot 🥵 2) the museum is all in Turkish only, no translation, the receptionists could have offered the audio guide:( Nevertheless, the museum was interesting and worth the time and the money!

A very good place to learn something about the local history and customs. The bad thing about it is that they probably don't receive many foreign visits and all the explications are written in Turkish, so if you cannot speak the language you must either use a translator or limit to wander around. I don't know about the entrance fee because the museum was included in our visit to the city. The silicon people are just creepy. They look so real that you would think they are going to jump on you if you dare to turn your back.

The museum provides headsets for visitors to listen to instructions in several languages (English, Russian, Arabic). This feature is helpful for foreigners who want to learn more about Trabzon. The experience is quite interesting, and I recommend everyone to visit to gain insights into the local culture and history.

Trabzon hakkında çok detaylı bilgilere ulaşabileceğiniz gördüğüm en güzel şehir müzelerinden biri. Eğer Tarbzonda nereyi gezeceginizi bilmiyorsanız Trabzon gezisine başlamak için en iyi nokta. Trabzonda mutlaka görülmesi gereken yerlerden biri. Tüm yazılar Türkçe fakat audio cihazlarıyla İngilizce, Almanca vb birçok dilde herşeyi dinleyebilirsiniz. Müzenin temizliği dikkatimi çekti. Heryer çok temizdi. Etnografya kısmını genelde pek sevmediğim için o kısımları biraz hızlandırarak tamamını 90 dakikada gezdim. (Yazanları okuyarak ve videolari izleyerek) Tamamını hakkını vererek gezmek 2 saat sürecektir. Giriş katında çay-kahve içebileceğiniz küçük bir müze kafesi var. 3 katli müze binasının her katı farklı bölümlere ayrılmış. Özellikle Trabzon tarihini anlatan ilk katı beğendim. Hatta bölge ile ilgili bilmediğim birçok şeyi öğrendim. Covid önlemleri sebebiyle tuvaletler kapalı.

It was a good experience. The only issue is that the written words are only in the Turkish language. So to understand what's going on, you will need some audio devices or someone to explain. The museum does provide you with these facilities. The entrance is so cheap, so it's worth it to enter.
