Hotel service is terrible, I arrived with my kids at 3:00 pm and they couldn’t give me the room I already booked before one month from the trip because the guest prior to me didn’t do a check out and he was out of the hotel and they don’t have any contact for him They offered me a room in their second hotel which is very far away from the city center and there is nothing around it like shops or restaurants and promise me that they will give me the room the next day morning. I came the next day at 10:00am and the room was not ready and they said we don’t know when it will be ready may be one hour may be five hours. I left my luggage there and went out because I had limited time in the city and I received my room at 8:00 pm the second day I asked for late check out (at 6:00 pm) as a compensation and the manager was attending and they said ok, and I confirmed that the last night before check out with the reception that my check out will be at 6:00 pm and they said everything is ok At the day of check out I returned to the hotel at 4:30 pm and the reception asked by to do check out now because the next guest arrived. I went to the room to found the room service staff in the room, collected all my stuff in one corner and doing cleaning for the room, I asked them to go out so I can collect my stuff they refused because their working time is about to end and they must go home. I talked with reception and he talked with them and they waited outside the door, knocking the door every five minutes asking us to complete quickly and get out of the room. I talked with reception’s and he said your check out at 4:00 not 6:00, I said to him I told you yesterday and you confirmed, said that the manager today said they must do the check out at 4:00 not 6:00. Our experience at this hotel was unfortunately far from smooth. After checking in, we were told our luggage would be brought to the room. We waited… and waited… and nothing happened.
We then approached the receptionist, clearly asked for the bags to be delivered upstairs, and left assuming it would be handled – as is standard in any hotel claiming to offer decent service.
When we returned hours later, the bags were still sitting exactly where we left them. No one had moved a thing. What made it worse was the receptionist’s attitude – indifferent and unapologetic, with no sense of urgency or responsibility.
This may seem like a small thing, but it speaks volumes about the service mindset here. If attention to such a simple request is lacking, it raises real questions about the overall guest experience.
Not a stay we’d want to repeat, and certainly not what we expected.
On top of that, the room itself left much to be desired. There was a strong, unpleasant smell — as if the room had been “cleaned” with a dirty or damp towel. It didn’t feel fresh or properly maintained.
