I’ve traveled all over the world into many museums and this is the best I’ve seen.. I can’t believe it’s not more widely spoken about.
I only speak English and the displays all had English and Turkish captioning and the museum staff was so helpful. I went on a Sunday and it was just me and a few other guests, but I was able to spend multiple hours just exploring the area. I love that there’s so many different museums in the one complex.
Some of my favorites were the museum of textiles, which isn’t something I would’ve seek out, but I found myself really moved by seeing how Turkish style has evolved through generations.

A gem in the world of museums. Well...

Also the acoustics of the place were terrible; every single sound in there became amplied massively. I don't suffer with sensitive ears so was upset that I had to leave just because I found the place too loud! Museums are quiet contemplative places that I usually adore....not this...
