A Wildly Wonderful Day at UWEC ★★★★★
Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre with a group of excited schoolchildren. And let me tell you, it was an experience that exceeded all expectations!
From the moment we stepped foot inside, we were immersed in a world of wonder. The variety of animals was simply astounding, and they seemed equally as fascinated with us as we were with them. It was incredible to witness the grace of the giraffes, the playful antics of the monkeys, and the raw power of the big cats.
I was particularly impressed by the leopard. To see such a magnificent creature so close, and seemingly at ease, was a truly unforgettable moment. The kids were mesmerized!
Every corner of the park held new surprises, and the children's laughter and excitement were contagious. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking to connect with nature and inspire a love for wildlife in the next generation.
UWEC, you've earned your five-star rating!

Read moreWe stopped by just before going to the airport for our evening flight (it's like 5/10 mins away from the actual airport). We had a great visit and experience with family before saying our goodbyes. It was wild seeing large spiders along the paths having safely made their homes around the trees and bushes. Sometimes you also hear the lion' loud wild roar when they are playing with each other, it's amazing!! 😀 The restaurant by the beach to then relax and enjoy a meal after visiting or to just take a short break before continuing the visit is also an added bonus. It's definitely a recommended experience as a day trip or a visit before your flight. You will need to show your ID or passport if not a Ugandan citizen. Water bottles are not allowed, so leave this in your vehicle, and you pay just after passing security and receiving your pay ticket from the ID service desk (card payments are accepted). The staff were also lovely at helping to guide and give instructions and some information if needed or if asked....
