Our squid game:

We rented a boat for a private fishing Trip (5hrs) in october 2021. Reservation and paying all on the official website - 1800 Dirham / 428€ by creditcard. The People at the office at the Abu Dhabi Marina were quite friendly and we had to subscribe a paper with some safety regulations.

We started our fishing trip with Cpt. Ibrahim. He was a very friendly guy and good in driving the boat but extremely bad in fluent English language. He could not explain us how to fish with the special rope technique without a rod. Aside from that he was not able to tell us anything about the spots, the depth, the bait (squid) or what kind of fish we were chasing for. I asked for using a rod, the way of fishing i am familiar with, but he declined with some english words and his hands. As we had big problems with our equipment, he started to help not until 15 minutes.

Although experienced in fishing, we could not catch anything in our 5hrs trip. ADMT may not directly responsible for this but for that amount of money we would have preferred someone who is able to communicate with the guests and is able to guide you in unknown waters like the arabic sea.

It may depend on who is captain on boat, how good your trip will be. I think we couldn't win this special and expensive...

Waited 45 minutes to actually get on a jet ski due to their poor planning, then once on the jet ski one broke down. Prompting a friend to stay with him while he was dead in the water and me to get the staff to help, in the end we had to tow it back ourselves.
