Somewhere Marina Mall — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

It's been a long time that a dish has left such a lasting impact on us. We went to this restaurant during our holiday and I am still thinking about their Karak french toast - Absolute Delicacy! Hats off to the chef who came up with the dish! (Watch the attached video for more about that.) We went there after a late breakfast so didn't orde much. We started with just the Eggplant Moussaka and Wara Enab Fatteh and loved it. We have been trying middle eastern cuisines since our time in Dubai and mostly all good restaurants prepare it the same way - but this one definitely stood out. I would say that they have taken a traditional dish and added a delicious modern twist to it 😃. The dishes still retained the authentic flavour and the portion size is decent. We got tempted to then try the popular beef shawarma rice. However it felt bit underwhelming. It was still delicious but I guess seeing all the reviews and already loving the not-so popular dishes our expectations were set too high. The presentation of the beetroot rice in form of a cone and the flavourful tahini sauce was great but that's about it.....but the real deal was the KARAK FRENCH TOAST - a real show stopper and a must try!

The place itself is nestled in the back of the Marina mall and has a serene feel thanks to the openneyand the palm trees. The staff is friendly and quick to respond. There is always someone waiting on you making sure that you don't have to wait to place an order or any other help. We went there eitiour toddler and he was not in the mood to sit still in high chair. The staff was kind and patient with us. Visit to somewhere was definitely a highlight...

A Delicious Iftar Experience at Somewhere Marina Mall I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an Iftar dinner at Somewhere Restaurant in Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality. A restaurant representative, whose name escapes me (but deserves a big shoutout!), patiently explained the Iftar menu and even showed me pictures of the dishes, which was incredibly helpful.

The restaurant itself has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. Comfortable sofas, abundant plants, and a beautiful ambiance created a truly inviting space.

But the star of the show was undoubtedly the food! Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It was clear that the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. This was the first time I'd truly enjoyed Arabian cuisine, and Somewhere Restaurant completely changed my perspective.

For dessert, I opted for the kunafe with tea, and it was undeniably one of the best I've ever had. The perfect ending to a fantastic meal.

I would like to extend a special thanks to Murtaza and the entire staff at Somewhere Restaurant. Their attentiveness and friendly service made my solo evening feel absolutely perfect.
