I went I HomeCentre Marina Mall today along with family. We shortlisted a Sofa Set to buy- so far so good! I kept looking for Sales staff, who seemed to be in hiding somewhere. Once I found someone he went pass me looking into his phone, clearly trying to avoid any sales query. I had to stop him and ask for Sofa sales team. He asked one of the colleagues but that person said I am busy, then after 5 minutes someone came to address us. I asked to buy the sofa set, I was told you’llget this piece only. I said fine, can you at least get it cleaned or disinfected before delivery (given the covid scenario). The Sales staff became very rude and said we don’t do anything like that, you take it or leave it. Then I asked can you please try, ask your superiors if possible, to this I was told to clean sofa myself. To be honest this is the worst treatment I have ever gotten in my life. HomeCentre should focus on respecting the customers and absolutely not tolerate staff who did not behave or are not intending out any effort at work. Shame on HomeCentre. I have decided to never go back to this chain of stores and I will ask my friends and family to...
Read moreI do not recommend home centre. I relocated from Canada and unfortunately bought my sofas from there. The sofas started to squeek just two months after use. Home cntre has not been helpful to resolve the issue. They stated it is wear and tear. Quality is very bad. Two months for them to squeek and they consider it a wear and tear issue. Their inspector came and reported the issue in his physical presence. He took videos of the issues. He eventually submitted the issue to their wuality department and they ended up rejecting the case although the person from Home centre who came and reconginzed the issues. For some reason, someone in their quality department watched the video (though he did not check them physically) decided that it is wear and tear. Very wierd. Customer service pretend to help and state that they are the voice of the customer but they have no control.
My recommendation is not to buy furniture from home centre. If you have issues, do not waste your time with them but rather submit a complain to what is called the Consumer Rights in the City you bought the furniture...
Read moreI base this on my recent experience. I bought a compressed wood cot from home centre marina mall for my guest bed room. Though it had minimum usage the main segment developed cracks in 10 months. The customer sevice experience was not good as they rejected any corrective action before even having a call or visit. On demanding a visit a person came for 30 seconds to take a picture and left, so yes namesake visit. I have other furniture from HC thay seem to be of good quality. But cant say that to some furniture which really really bad and to top it, i feel the management do know that such material have issue so they dont care to do a study to know what the reason for damage is. The quality has changed when it comes to home centre. So my suggestion would be to go for only very durable looking products from them. Note: its easy to get through to customer service personnel but i dont think they really have any power to address...
