What can I say, it's one of the best hotels we've been to, hands down. The first visit already was far beyond our expectations, we became regulars ever since. But first things first: Arrival: The valet team is absolutely fantastic, welcoming, quick, always caring. They always offer to carry bags, stroller, groceries, you name it. Always with a smile, always with a nice word. After that, guest relations would take care of you. Guiding you towards the reception, restaurant or simply to the tea/coffee station for some genuine arabic coffee and (fantastic!) dates. If we had any issues where to eat, booking tickets, special occasions: Everything was solved/answered/handled. At the reception there was never a wait for us, someone always was available. Check in is nice and smooth and complemented with wet towels and some orange juice. Rooms: We stayed in different rooms, each and every one of them was very nice and had its pros and cons. Some were closer to the restaurant for breakfast, some closer to the beach. Overall, the rooms are spacious, very clean and most of them equipped with a balcony. Housekeeping is also extremely fast, tidy and grants you every wish you have (which is rather important when traveling with kids :-P). There's always plenty of water, tea, towels blankets, whatever you need, only a call away. Restaurants: We tried most of the restaurants and really never were disappointed. Li Jiang and The Forge are our favorites by far, but also the non-hote-run ones are very good. (They are located in the venetian village). Breakfast is opulent, offers a tremendous amount of food options and everything you would expect. The service at every venue is formidable. Site/Location: Beautifully located at the canal, the hotel site offers a variety of free time activities, a private beach of course and a fantastic pool area. For both, kids and adults. And although the hotel is really not a small place, there is always free sun beds and umbrellas and it never seems crowed. (Only on a brunch Saturday maybe). The location is perfect for us, because you don't have to deal with downtown traffic, if you don't want to. We stayed at downtown hotels as well, but you always have to handle the corniche traffic first to get and or out then. The hotel is perfectly located between downtown, Yas island, Al Reem Island and very close to Al Qana and the Mosque. On top, the view on the grand mosque simply never gets old and is especially beautiful at sunset. The airport is only 15 min away as well. All in all, the Ritz in Abu Dhabi is and will always be our go to place in Abu Dhabi for the future. They manage to provide a warm, familiar atmosphere with lots of privacy despite the size of the hotel and we really appreciate that. Big shout-out to each and everyone on the team around GM Christian. Keep it up! Highly recommended!

I made a reservation for a two-night stay at this location to celebrate my husband's birthday. The three-bedroom villa we booked was well-designed and equipped with practical amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen, a separate laundry room, and a reasonable-sized pool with a barbecue area. Except for the maid's room, each room had a television. The view of the Grand Mosque from the location was stunning. Before our arrival, they had decorated the bed with flowers for the birthday celebration. However, we faced several shortcomings in terms of service. Despite requesting a baby high chair and a baby cot with a pillow, the chair took 45 minutes to arrive, and the cot did not come with a pillow. We also experienced issues with the telephone line. Our requests for housekeeping services, including cleaning leftover lunch plates and providing evening turn-down service, were not fulfilled. Additionally, there were ants in one of the guest rooms. The response from the housekeeping team regarding the leftover food was unsatisfactory, and we missed the breakfast we had paid for to discuss the matter with the supervisor. After discussing this with the housekeeping team supervisor, we were accommodated to have breakfast in the villa while the cleaning and pest control were carried out. However, the in-room dining supervisor came and served food without an apology, which we did not consider complimentary as we had already paid for breakfast. The housekeeping team and in-room dining staff seemed to point fingers at each other regarding the responsibility for cleaning leftover plates. Moreover, the service at The Forge Steakhouse was lacking, too. Despite having a 16-month-old baby with us, it took 40 minutes to serve the baby's food, and we experienced long wait times of more than 2 hours for main courses when there were not many guests around. The staff maintained a hands-off approach until we proactively requested beverage and meal service. Overall, while the accommodation and amenities were satisfactory, the service and responsiveness to our requests were disappointing. The breakfast buffet offered diverse food options, which we found pretty enjoyable. However, we observed that the service was lacking in attentiveness and efficiency. Merissa from the reservation team went above and beyond to accommodate an early check-in, showcasing exceptional customer service skills. While checking out, I interacted with AFOM Sophia. She expressed gratitude for my feedback and appeared genuinely apologetic. The accommodation and facilities are 10/10, the service in the facility is 4/10, Forge Restaurant's service and food are 2/10, and the breakfast buffet is 8/10

5 stars with slight reductions in the B grade. Yes, the hotel has some weak points and needs some improvement. The Venetian Village is an eyesore for the hotel and the operators don't seem to know what to do with it themselves. Yes, the beach chairs are not really on a 5 star level. Yes, the sidewalk slabs would have to be repaired or replaced in some places. Yes, the information signs and lanterns in the facility should be cleaned or replaced. Yes, the first room we were offered was really a bad joke. Yes, the price policy in the hotel borders on usury in some areas... BUT above all, the excellent, super friendly and extremely helpful staff! From the first reception at the entrance you felt very welcome. Great praise and thanks at this point to Mr. Salman. Mr. Salman, while unloading my suitcase from our car, saw the frequent flyer tag on my suitcase, recognized my name and from that moment addressed me by my first name. He didn't forget this throughout our stay and always greeted me in a friendly manner and with a smile. The front desk was also very friendly and when we weren't satisfied with our room (a suite), extremely helpful and accommodating. The suite then assigned corresponded more to our expectations and left nothing to be desired. The furnishings are dignified and perhaps not to everyone's taste, but our room was well-kept and in very good condition. The food (we opted for the evening buffet) was really very good and left absolutely nothing to be desired. Here, too, the staff was extremely friendly, attentive and open to small talk. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic and without criticism. We recommend planning enough time for both variants so that you can try and enjoy as many of the delicious dishes and ingredients as possible. The hotel complex itself is good and the pool for adults is nice and quiet and has enough loungers. The beach is good too.. right size and well kept and clean. The drinks service is very attentive and we always had chilled water next to our loungers. At the end of the stay, the hotel staff helped me with a little surprise for my wife. Here, too, the feeling was conveyed that the concerns and wishes of the guests were taken care of and that a solution was sought. All in all a great stay in a great hotel. We would recommend this hotel for a stay of 3 to a maximum of 5 days. When tourism starts up again and the problems are fixed and the Venetian Village is revived, then it will definitely be (again) a hotel that we can wholeheartedly recommend. Until then it remains a 5 star hotel with small weaknesses.

From beginning to end, our stay was memorable for all the right reasons. I went with my dad , brother and sisters and neice. As a family, every member of staff did a exceptional job at making us feel right at home. From walking through the door, with the lovely doormen, special shout-out to Bhasil and ... , Never even let us open the door ourselves. Ousmane is a wonderful soul along with the other 2 ladies. They always gave us a pleasant and warm welcome, with some wonderful tea and sweets... The team did a excellent job and giving the kids toys and goodies throughout the trip. The relations manager was extremely helpful and attentive and did everything she could to accomodations us, which is all you could ask for. If you are staying at this hotel I highly recommend getting the club lounge. The staff there over the period of our stay became an extension to our family. A special shout-out to Sonia, Ranga, Johan,Kavindu and Nunie. Those people really have a talent for making you feel welcome and comfortable. It got to the point where I no longer had to ask for my coffee, it arrived as I sat down. Sonia was extremely attentive, professional and pleasant with conversation. The chefs were amazing, and the choice of breakfast spoils you. I recommend the omelette and french toast. The views from the club lounge is relaxing in the morning and beautiful in the evening. All the restaurants were lovely, but be warned, the Punjab grill is not included in the half board. Furthermore, the portion size of Byrani for the price you pay is pure robbery! 🤣 Apart from this, all the other restaurants and staff members were polite, helpful and a joy to be around. I would recommend the steakhouse as my favourite restaurant of the bunch. The service and food was exceptional. Overall, if you are staying in Abu Dhabi, there shouldn't be any other option than the Ritz Carlton. I can say that confidently as I have stayed in other hotels nearby including the Fermont. It doesn't compare. Whether you're in a couple or a family or even friends, it's got everything you need. I hold high hopes of seeing all my friends at the Ritz very soon.

Very nice option for a staycation. The hotel staff is very polite but some of them slow to provide the service requested. Especially in the pool and beach area nobody knows where the spa and sauna are and the provide wrong and misleading information. Obviously this is not their fault but talks badly of the lack of training they receive from the person in charge of them and this does not give the the sense of a real 5 star. The signs in the hotel are poor and misleading: they all send you to the spa in the Venetian village and when you reach the place (miles away from your room) they tell you that they are not part of the hotel and you need to pay or get a treatment to enter. There’s actually sauna and steam in the gym area, which no signs indicate and it’s hidden behind the big staircase in the entrance. The way the facilities are distributed and designed is really not practical or comfortable. The hotel is unnecessarily massive and the distance of the facilities within the hotel are huge. Not recommended for people that have problems walking or for elderly. The room is a different story. They are very nice and big but the ABSOLUTELY LACK MAINTENANCE. The furniture is old and the bed frames and chairs are falling apart (pictures provided). This is UNACCEPTABLE in a hotel like the Ritz Carlton. The kind of room I stayed in should not be given to guests due to its poor condition. Obviously there’s nobody checking that the rooms are tired and need urgent renovation.

Gorgeous hotel with top notch staff. We enjoyed our time at brunch. The choices were plentiful and far ranging. 3/4 of us went with the alcohol package and the drinks were very good. I enjoyed my cocktail, but it needed a bit more Rum in it. I asked for additional Rum to be put in my drink and it wasn't an issue. The brunch is a bit expensive, but is included in the Entertainer (2 for 1), making it much more reasonable. We spent the full three hours eating and could have stayed longer. The DJ amd the saxophonist were great (maybe turn the volume down a little so people can talk) and we really enjoyed them. Check out the pictures and videos, they tell the whole story. Pro tip...walk the whole buffet before you et your plate. So many options, so little stomach space.
