I was in Aventura Park a week ago celebrating a friends birthday. We were on our second challenge path of the night. This was the Extreme. We had arrived to our next post, and got confused about what our next exercise was going to be as this particular post and space surrounding it was very very poorly light. We stood there for 5 mins screaming for assistance (mind you we are about 5 meters off the ground); to no avail, no one showed up nor responded. We then saw, with our light headlight gear, that there was a rope suspended and attached to a pulley system. We were unsure of where this would land us so we did another round of screaming for assistance for 15 mins now, and again, no one and no show. My friend went first and she landed hard against the net. Again, very very poorly light. I was next and unfortunately held the rope incorrectly. Again, no officials to help or assist. I swung into the air and sadly sustained an aggressive blow of the both carabinas and its hook into my chest cavity. When I hit the net, I couldn’t move and had to regain my breathing as the pain was immense. Only after getting off the net, did someone show up and they handled the situation not greatly. After having completed the last two rides, I had requested to speak to a manager. They listened to what I had to say and said they’d go check the person who was present and come back. They never did - we had to go and ask about his whereabouts. He came back and only gave unfortunate excuses which didn’t resolve my issue. He requested for my details and told him he could find it in the system. This was supposedly for his manager(s) so they could contact me. No one ever did.
For future guests, please be careful of the poorly lit spots. The carabinas could have hit my face instead of my chest and that would have been a much more...
Read moreThis review and 2 stars is for birthday party organisation at the park.
The park itself, the circuit and the coaches and staff at the circuit are very friendly and helpful they deserve 5 stars.
Birthday party: The only organised and switched on person that I communicated with is Julia (who is events oragiser) but on the day of our party she was not there and everything just went downhill.
Everything from welcome and registration to the service in the tent was very poor. The birthday coordinator was unhelpful. She was confused and couldn't clearly answer questions and actually organise and guide the kids and us.
The set up in the tent was not complete, it took time after we arrived there to get knife for the cake! (it's a birthday so it's obvious we'll need a knife!), to get the outdoor AC working (because it's 12:30 in the afternoon and it's hot). The meal distribution was unorganised as well even though there were 3 members on staff there!!!
When kids finished eating, I asked about Discovery area (that's where the playground, the water fountain, mini circuit and rabbits are) and she told me the kids can't go there when Julia clearly communicated and confirmed in the email that they can. Only after I made her check, she said that they can go there.
After that it took time to start the water fountain and it was not working properly, it kept stopping all the time.
They couldn't make sure that things are ready and operational in the park before the guests come!
Overall, we were very disappointed and had a feeling that it was the first birthday party ever that was done at the park.
The only good part that was there is the circuit. The coaches and staff there were very friendly...
Read moreAn overpriced dissapointing birthday party experience. We decided to celebrate our eldest son 7th birthday at aventura park and unfortunately it turned out to be a dissapointing experience. We went to visit the site before hand and met with Julia Celso who was our first contact. We were told that during the activities the children will be assisted, looked after and cared for, also we will be allocated a party tent and a coordinator. When we got to the birthday party we met our coordinator Romeo, who I saw at the beginning of the party and at the end. No information was given as to which party tent we were assigned, had to run around the park and find out. During the zipline activities myself and 3 more parents were full on for aprox 1hr30 min hooking and unhooking the kids from the cables, as there were unsufficient staff to attend and the available staff were desinterested in what was going on, complete lack of involvement and support. Towards the end of the party after I brought to the attention of the supervisor what was going on I could see an improvement. I mean why do I need to complain to get a fraction for what I paid for. And to top it off at the end when the bill came I was overcharged and waisted time to get refunded. A few other parents invited to the party were considering having the birthday parties for their kids there but after our dreadful experience they changed their minds. My advise it is definetely not worth it to waste your beloved children's birthdays at Aventura Park, there are more and far better...
