Nice little spot here. The play area is a bit basic but the kids had fun regardless, especially in the big sandpit surrounding the climbing frame for toddlers. The cafe was reasonably priced and we loved sitting in the covered outside area. I think it's great how the park caters for different hobbies with the skatepark, tennis courts and community garden. The highlight for us though, is the wildlife ponds that were absolutely swarming with toads and fish. The car park as stated is small, I was expecting to have trouble parking, but managed to park on the street like other cars with no problems. The only downside about the park is the location and the background noise from the main road, apart from that, we spent an enjoyable few hours here and would visit again!

Would have decent facilities but sadly a lot of litter and a few things in the play area rather worse for wear (the wooden play area rotting, paint chipped everywhere, swings missing). Lots of trip hazards in surfacing!! Bins full... Does have toilets (20p), car parking, picnic spaces and benches, amenity grass, and the cafe. Trees are lovely in spring. But it's all in need of substantial investment!

Visited on Coronation Day. Unfortunately it was p@ssIng it down! We'd have stayed but the tents/awnings were all letting in water and so the opportunity to retain customers was lost... unfortunately the small number of inside tables were all taken... so we went round the corner to another place. Shame because we wanted to support the cause... but couldn't 🤷‍♂️☺️

A great park for little ones, this play area has an extra wide slide, with easy to navigate steps (for even very little ones) and is big enough for you as an adult to go down next to them, or holding them, easily.

There are regular swings, the classic tiny person swings and the fully backed, enclosed one and even an adult/ child, two person swing! (This one is my favourite).

Lastly there is a climbing frame, like a fortress surrounded by sandpit. This playground reminds me of what playgrounds used to be like when I was little, plenty of room for running or scooting/ balance biking around and a variety of equipment. Also plenty of benches for tired mums and dads.

If you venture outside of the playground there is some lovely grass and even a duck pond and a small...

Alice Park is a lovely place to play, picnic, children's playground, skateboard rink, pentangle boules rink, that's free to use, pay as you go 4 tennis courts, sign up online. Also, the Alice Park Cafe, I had a lovely breakfast and coffee this morning, and the cafe does have a good selection of fast food, as well as healthy options. Be prepared to walk to the park as they only have a small car park. They often have events at the park. Check out the parks' website. Walking around this park is on tarmac paths and some slight inclines. But pleasant seats to sit on on your way around and visit the wild garden which has a lovely view of the whole park...
