Our experience of using Boveney Lock was marked by some of our boat crew wanting to use the toilet. As this lock is one of the few offering toilet facilities, we hoped that it would be satisfactory for use.

Unfortunately the toilets were in a poor state and nobody wanted to use them, which obviously caused some discomfort and dismay.

The lock was fine for its purpose of getting the boats safely to a new level. The area of river is also very scenic.

Just hope they will improve...

It's ok. We can't expect too much from over 200 years old facilities. Quick to go trough with useful kayak/ canoe portage on side. Young lady lock keeper can be awkward and grumpy sometimes but I don't blame her. Overall...
