Banana Block — Attraction in Belfast

If you go there on a busy Sunday morning / lunchtime, you're in for a long wait.. Presumably this was all for the bagel vendor. Queue out the door and round the corner.. 50 minutes later, reached the door only to be faced with another 40-50 minute wait. Gave up and went elsewhere (I only wanted a takeaway!).

Unfair to start dishing out one star reviews as I never actually got to experience Banana Block, but in hindsight maybe the organisers could make the large queue aware of delays and save them wasting their time.

Here's a novel idea.. Hand out tickets to the first X number of people in line, explain delay and send everyone else home.

As I was leaving prematurely, there were twice as many waiting to get in with zero communication from organisers. It's a certainty very few of them got past the front door.

I'm sure it's a great venue, but getting in proving a challenge. ...

Called in today to check this place out and love it!! It's such a cool, pretty space with all the awesome plants and lights :) we also met the lovely gentleman (Terry I think his name was) who showed us around his mushrooms and how they are grown and it was very interesting! There are greats tunes coming from the on site record store too ;) We had two baps as a quick snack and they were lovely as well, they do nice looking pies and sausage rolls and vegan food! Can't wait to come back for the events they are planning on having and just to hang in the great space! Great to see this in East Belfast really bringing something different to...

Very trendy space in East Belfast that houses several shops. The Green East is great for buying plants and it's worth going here for Bodega Bagels, some of the best bagels I've ever tasted. And their coffee is great too!

Often has events here with love music and the place is really cool when this happens. Especially when the Belfast Busking band show up!

Last time I was in there was very cool music playing over the sound system; enjoyed coffee and a bagel, watching people come and go.

Bit cold during the winter and although infra-red heaters appear to be installed, better to wrap up warm before going...
