I use to really love this place. It’s still great to bring the kids and relax while they play with their friends but the staff is shocking. They use to an amazing staff all the women who left and terry. They were all amazing. But since hiring Anton social men who couldn’t give good customer service to save their lives the bar has taken a massive dive. The owner is also so rude. I tried having a very simple conversation with him and he talked down to me. Not sure if it’s because I am black or a woman or both. But as a member when I am being friendly I would expect at minimum of kindness in return. I just think customer service is not a crazy concept. The toilets are broken and always out of supplies. I just can’t understand why the owner and the shaved head kid are so awful to people. I am not even the only person they have been like this to. But it’s for sure a woman thing because other women have complained of the same issues with these two men. DO BETTER. If you start getting a reputation of being crap to women you will suffer as a business. Bullhouse is always packed when boundary is empty. The women...
Read moreWhat a spot!! I left Northern Ireland over twenty years ago and returned last weekend for some long overdue catching up. What I hadn't anticipated was the volume of new and utterly brilliant independents that have sprung up all over Belfast not least amongst them Boundary Brewery and Tap Room. Great location, unbelievably friendly staff who will allow you to grab food from any nearby take away and eat it while your enjoying one of their many amazing beverages. The quality of Brew can not be over stated. These guys aren't just riding the Independent wave they are producing great beer worthy of every accolade. One of the many things I really like about Boundary is its size; there is either plenty of space and a chilled out vibe or dozens of like minded people sharing in some common ground. Honestly, I absolutely love this place! I will definitely be back and you should definitely give them a visit!
PS: I'm hopeful they'll find a way of partnering local indy food people and bringing them into the bar space. That would definitely add something really special but its absence...
Read moreIf you like craft beer and are in Belfast, I think this place is an essential visit. I remember when it used to be rough and ready, drinking among the mash tuns, and while that was great, their new bar area is even better. A lovely bright space with plenty of tables and seating. It's warehouse chic. Loads of beers on tap that are brewed on-site. The choice is almost too big! Any I've tried have been delicious.
Actually went in here after visiting Flout! across the street for pizza (also an absolute must to visit if you're in the area, they're open and haven't sold out!) and noticed that loads of people were buying pizza in Flout! and brining it across to eat in Boundary with one of their beers! A stunning idea and a match made in heaven. I'll be doing that next time!
Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in here. They also had board games, which the kids enjoyed. Wish I could have stayed longer. Only downside is that the beer is on the expensive side, but isn't everything now and it is of the highest...
