I've been a member in Cliftonville Golf Club for as long as I can recall. It has had its issues like most other Clubs, with falling membership, but the last two years have been good. They have spent quite a bit on social distancing, in the bar and restaurant areas, and more is planned to raise the profile of this old and well established company. Not many clubs can boast owning the course they sit on but Cliftonville can, and don't be fooled by the nine hole system, it's tougher than you think. Read moreNever played golf in my life. Don't think I ever will. I came here for a function that was setup upstairs. I must say I was very impressed with the food and the bar. The staff were very nice and the place was child friendly up until the legal time. During lockdown, the place was obviously closed to the public but they did open up the fairway for people to walk on. It was a lovely, very well kept green - I actually thought I was playing golf on Wii Sports. The club was extremely hospitable and the pro in the shop did everything he could to make sure we had a good time and we were well equipped. The course was in great shape and thoroughly enjoyable.
